Did you know that you can sculpt using self-dug clay to make really nice pottery?

Except that sometimes there’s impurities like tiny little bits of limestone in self-dug clay that make your pot explode in the kiln?

How about that you can’t really make do with your kitchen oven as a kiln?

Or that if you put your self-dug clay pot filled with tiny little bits of limestone into your kitchen oven and set it’s for hot enough and long enough to make do as a kiln that sometimes when the pot explodes it’ll also catch on fire?

	Maybe just don't use it as a kiln. I'm sure it's still safe for other art. Is this a regular thing? Do we need to get you a workroom set up somewhere so you don't set your apartment on fire again? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I’m scared of what would happen if someone saw me putting a non-food product inside after this. Which part? The apartment fire or generally ruining things in an attempt to create something else? No to the first but a strong yes to the second. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	So we'll find you a safer place to do it. I painted a bit when I was younger. But I like fixing things, building things. I had half a motorcycle and God knows how much woodworking in the garage. Nothing that was ever going to get finished. (Reply to this) (Parent)
