Today I had intended to go over my lesson plans but the beach has a definite pull. I'm going to take my first vacation day and see what it feels like.

	I don't think I'd want to upgrade my AI. Call me paranoid but in my world I'd be reset for just raising the issue of being a sentient entity. Any reprogramming might change who I am, on a fundamental level. You'll be the first person I come to if I need replacement parts, though, be assured of that! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	That is a story I'm going to want to hear one day, be sure about that. Did everyone else treat him as a person? When I got here I wasn't sure if I should even talk about being an android but I fought so hard to be honest in my own world it would have been wrong to live a lie here. 	Perhaps the idea went right and you just didn't realise it until it was too late? If your friend was sentient and had a chance of life, would you want it otherwise? You're right and it was the choice I made. If I have to fight the same fight again, so be it. So far people here have been much more accepting. What's Thor's Hammer? Is it heavy? 	I am not sorry for Vision living. ~~I'm sorry he was destroyed.~~ I don't think you'd be fighting alone, but I hope it does not come to that. Some enchanted hammer his father created so only those deemed "worthy" can lift it. Odin is not exactly a model guy so I'm still wondering what criteria he set. Thor is a damn good dude though. Thank you. I'm glad you're here. I think often about what difference it would make to my people back home if there were more like you there. When I left the tide was turning and most people believed we were sentient but the step towards actually living alongside us was a gulf that would take time to cross.

So in your world there really are gods? It's astounding to think about! That you call him 'dude' even more so. You keep some strange company my friend, but I'd like to meet them some day. Thor and Vision.

My world is not much different in that regard. You'll find there are many here who have been persecuted or ostracized for their powers - magical, engineered, you name it.

Thor and I were part of something called the Avengers. ~~Fury~~ Someone basically chose a group of superheroes to come together to save the world so strange company indeed. It didn't always go well, but Thor is a good friend here and in our time.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Tony. We all needs as many friends as we can have here.

Is it, perhaps, a human trait that they hate what they can't understand or replicate, or is that thinking falling into the same trap? Putting them all into the same category is just what they do to us and maybe we should know better?

Avengers. That sounds... impressive. Saving humanity even when you were persecuted by it can't have been easy.
