So I’d give this AU!New York a full three stars. ⭐⭐⭐

It seems pretty accurate and I had been meaning to come back to visit. It’s missing a few of the best pieces though like my favorite coffee shop, everyone who lives here in my preferred universe, and also the ability to leave. You should probably fix that part because it seriously ruins the whole effect when the background loops. Have you watched animations like that? They're awful. Wraparound backgrounds may save time and effort but they’re lazy and they suck. Hanna-Barbera? More like Hanna-Barfera.

The ostriches are really great, though. I tacked on half a point just for them so you’re in solid "I’m already logged into Amazon so might as well" territory. But there’s still a lot of room for improvement. Unless this all turns out to be the inside of a giant snow globe again. That's not fun, it's not funny, and I’ll take it all back.

I know you're not! I was just giving you a hard time. I haven't had as much time with John as I have with Guy and Hal, but the company of a(nother) Lantern is always comforting. It's that warm glow thing you guys all have.

And no I'm still not joining.

But yes, I'll absolutely stay over with you. It's your first night! You shouldn't have to be alone. We'll bring food back and watch some movies. And then I can watch you draw. OH. Do we need to pick up drawing things too? We can do that on the way back.

They all feel different when you’re close to them. Hal’s light feels sharp and electric; it’s so hot that it’s cold. Guy’s is like dipping your fingertips into warm candle wax and brushing up against the flame. John’s feels like when you walk out of a dark room and into the sun. It moves through you all at once.

I bet that yours would feel like a spotlight.

I’d need to pick up art supplies because I only have my ring. But just a sketch pad, pencils, markers, and confetti.

Spotlights are really bright and really hot when you're in them, though. But I like that description. Guy's really does him justice. Hal... idk, what do you say about ~~Trash Daddy~~ Hal? I think he feels like stepping into a shower that's just a little too hot at first and then it just relaxes your whole body. You, though. You feel like a blanket fresh out of the dryer. Warm and soft and just a little bit of static.

When Hal was inside me, it was almost too much for me to handle. It came out of my mouth. It came out of my nose. It was just so much. I’ve never felt anything like that before. I couldn’t think straight for days after. I still couldn’t tell you if it was euphoria or agony.

That’s the nicest description, though. I’d be happy to feel like a warm blanket that can wrap you in light. Somewhere that people can put down some of their defenses.
