It's probably nice to have parents who care enough to do that kind of thing. That's what I've heard, anyway.

I've never really thought about it before. It seems strange to have people turn up and give you presents and things like they're paying tribute but it wasn't really like that.

If it's too weird, you can always ask that people not do the present thing, and instead just hang out, probably.
