Web Entry
Hello, all. I have an announcement. Thanks to Hannah Abbott graciously writing to the honorable entity on my behalf, I have been given the means to begin a technology company in Goodland. I own Stark Industries in my reality so it is fitting I pursue what I know here. I understand several of you are concerned about finding work. My company will need more than tech innovators and scientists. I need those with business, advertising, law, editorial, and security skills just to name a few. I admit my fiancee CEO, Pepper, handled most of the hiring in my time, so I'd definitely appreciate someone acting in a similar role here. Please reach out to me if you are interested in beginning a company from the ground up.

I fully plan on the company being a success, but, most importantly, we now have a lab. What other like-minded individuals are here?

Kid, you interested in working with me? I have a lab too.

I don't know if I made the right decision not telling the kid about what I know right away. Please - just hold off on telling him? I think - I know it should be me. I just don't know how.

It turns out parenting books are a load of bullshit. I don't know what cosmic joke made me the parent guardian to two teenagers, but, so far, I think I am not doing much besides making sure they stay alive. Anyone have kids? Want kids? Know how to deal with kids? I want to do this right especially for Pete.

I got lucky with mine. She was a good person. Kept us all in line and we loved her for it. Hell of a cook, too.

I think half the battle there is knowing that you did it and that it wasn't what you should have done. Of course, he needs to know that too. You've got to be able to tell him, pride or whatever be damned. And if it came from a place of concern - Delwanna had that sometimes too, you know how Wookiees are with their tempers - then it's easier to explain. And you can't treat kids like they're dumb. They know. We knew when we were that age, didn't we? We understood things that our folks didn't want to explain to us. So maybe you give him that. You give him the understanding and the confidence. You let him do harmless dumb shit once in a while because that's how we all learned our best lessons. And then you tell him he did alright when he does alright. That's all anyone wants.

I don't think Mom knew how to turn on a stove, God bless.

Dare I ask what a Wookie is?

Thanks, Han, really.

Oh. A Wookiee. Big, tall, hairy. Can rip a guy's arms off without breaking a sweat. Damn good navigators, usually. Unfortunately, a lot of them have been jerked around by the Empire for generations. We're just starting to get some independence for them. It's been a long fight. Y'know, when they don't look human, people start thinking that they're not people? But I'd take one Wookiee over ten of the best smugglers I know any day.

Hey, it's no problem. I'm trying to figure out the parent thing too. We gotta help each other out.

Is it bad if I say I have no idea? I just found out I had them a few days ago. In the range of young adult.

Jaina and Jacen. I can't say if you've met them. I've only just met them.
