While I'm not usually one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I'm a little confused by the sheer volume of paperwork I woke up to on my desk this morning.

Back in Lakewood, I had applied and been accepted to a couple of schools. I'd pretty much decided on NYU Tisch. Which is conveniently located right over there. But I still had a semester left to finish at GWHS. Do I test through that last semester of HS classes and start college classes or do I need to finish HS classes here? Does it not matter because of time travel and magic and all that jazz? Should I just throw my shit at Tisch and start signing up for classes?

I mean, I had already been talking to admissions because Peter and I had that conversation about it and I was going to do it anyhow and turns out they did still have all of my records on file and it was fine regardless.

I do have to say I'm really jazzed about the idea of being able to do this, though. Not that you need a college degree to be a filmmaker but at a certain point it's about honing your technique and making connections and networking and having access to equipment and technology that you wouldn't normally have as a lowly Vimeo videographer. And there is a very particular skill set that comes with documentary filmmaking. Journalistic ethics is kind of a big deal. And you do need credentials to gain access to certain places and people. Like the holy grail of true crime interviews.
