Thank you to everyone who helped out in the clinic these last few days. I can't remember everyone by name, I was running on very little sleep and a lot of coffee. It was much appreciated though. Now I am going to pass out for at least the next twenty four hours.

It's Christine. Don't be rude to my staff.

Mea culpa, Doctor Wilson. I spent most of the weekend outside the building fetching supplies and tending to those beyond the walls of the complex. I'm afraid she and I did not have the opportunity to cross paths. If the question came across as uncouth, it was an honest mistake.

You okay there? Temper seems a little short.

Sleep deprived. And those two both seem to fall squarely in the mold of "great doctor, shitty social skills".

Easy there, seems to me y'all aren't the only ones sleep deprived 'round here. Don't wanna piss off the few actual doctors you've got around y'know.

We've got more doctors than nurses.

Yeah, but for how long? People seem to disappear from this place pretty often.

I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself. I'm Christine Chapel. I'm the clinic's family nurse practitioner. I came not long after Sam and Hannah started the clinic.

A crucial position on every staff. I've worked with a number of remarkable nurses.

I do apologize if my question came off as rough, though, my partner tells me that I can have that effect at times.

Bless your heart.

It’s so nice that the clinic has such a dedicated nurse on staff.

Thank you. I love what I do.

[Dr. Crane/Christine]

Can I make an appointment to see you? I have some things I need to talk about and I have tendency to keep things inside which I know is not good.

That’s an important part of the job.

[Ms. Chapel]

You’re welcome to. I have very few appointments during the week so you'll have your choice of time.

Hi. My name is Mary.

I would like to work at the clinic and perhaps learn some things?

I havent had an experience, and I've only just got out of high school. I've taken advanced biology and basic anatomy.

Would I be allowed to work there?

I don't see why not. Come by tomorrow and talk to Sam. He's in charge but as far as I'm concerned, it would be great.

If you have your transcripts, maybe you can look into one of the pre-med programs at one of the colleges or universities. I hear NYU has a school of medicine. It may be good here, too. Maybe they'll even consider the clinic for credits or as part of some kind of internship program if they have that there.

Oh wow. I didn't even think of that!

I bet if I can get into my email from home than I can access my transcripts. But I'm not sure about my scholarships, I really can't afford a school.

If you don't qualify for scholarships, or if the tuition is (as currently expected) astronomical, perhaps this clinic would be willing to pay for your schooling in exchange for your services. You could work your way up from scheduling to whatever position you go to school from, and you're paying them back by working for them until the tuition is paid off. It beats student loan debt. This is assuming such a program exists or could exist in this circumstance.

This is a great idea.

I will bring this up to them tomorrow. I would really like to continue my education, so naturally I hope this work.

I'm Mary. It's a pleasure to meet you.

It was dark all weekend, we had some kind of ghostly viistations, I'm not sure what to call it. Some people got pretty sick.

Yeah, showed up at the tail end, but once you've got the so-called "First Evil" trying to get in your head, a bunch of ghosts in capes don't really do too much. Didn't know people were sick.
