What are things that are “girl things” and what are things that are “boy things”? I can do a lot of the same things that Torunn can do, and Tony never made us only do boy things or girl things.

There was a girl in class and she had really pretty nail polish. I said that I liked that color and that maybe I would paint my nails like that because it looked cool and I really like the color red and she said that I cant.

So of course I was going to anyway so I didn’t eat lunch so I could take my lunch money to the store on the way home and buy nail polish, but the lady who takes the money said it was only for girls.

Some people think girls only do stuff like being pretty and looking after babies and boys do things like fighting bad guys and sports but they're stupid, I help Kaine fight bad guys all the time.

Lots of boys at home dress up with their costumes so I think it doesn't really matter. Also people think girls should cook but all the chefs on cooking shows are mostly boys.

Buddy, if you want painted nails, you can have painted nails. I don't think gender stereotypes are a healthy thing in the first place. And lots of guys do it. Mostly black, I think, but some do no matter what.

But spend your lunch money on lunch next time, ok? We can go to the store after school.

If you think they look cool, isn't that what matters the most? They're your hands, Pym. As long as you're not doing anything dangerous, it's your body and you get to decide what you do with it.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar, but that sounds like a ridiculous notion to me. You should be able to do whatever you want, regardless of your gender. If it makes you happy, and you're not harming anyone, then why not do it?
