MAGIC USERS – ALL CANONS

for those of you who don't really know me, I'm Julia Wicker.

I know there are a lot of us here with a connection to magic, regardless of whether we call ourselves witches or mages or magicians or whatever. I thought it could be kind of cool for us to all get together sometimes, maybe share skills and experiences or even look at some cooperative magic. I'm not looking to blow Goodland up or anything. I just think there are sometimes parts of having magic that only other magic users really get, you know?

Not compulsory, of course, but I thought maybe we could meet on the roof or at one of the coffee shops or something, for anyone who's interested.

	Could you do it like a double negative? Like when I said can't not and my Gran gets annoyed? Do bad magic more to make it do good things? That's different from my world. In my world you choose how you use your magic and it's the wizard that is good or bad. I had an aunt who was very very bad and my other auntie wasn't really bad and my Gran only uses good magic! There are ways, but it's tricky. If I wanted to give someone good luck, say... I'd be taking that luck from somewhere else, giving someone else bad luck. And with how my magic works, that bad luck could kill them.

Some magic in my world is like that. The Evil Queen can use her magic for good things, even though it's warped a little. But I'm not like them, right now.

	We did a spell like that once. All the bad luck went into this bear. We called it the bad news bear because whoever was holding it had the worst luck until the spell was over. It served its purpose, so it was kind of worth it, even if Quentin had a really bad day. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Magic always has to come from somewhere. It's a balance. That was a very specific spell, but sometimes there are consequences you can't anticipate. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
