Who: Carol and Jasmine
What: Jasmine's arrival, a meeting between roommates
When: After Jasmine's arrival
Where: Their apartment
Rating: Not very high I'd imagine

It really did rain a lot in this place, didn't it? Jasmine couldn't help but think as she made her way towards the door she had been directed to. She had been assured that this was a good place to live (the jury was out if she believed that to be true or not), but at the moment she had no other choices. Well, she had wanted some more adventures, right?

What she did know was that she wanted out of her wet clothes. Her fine silks, the finest in Agrabah, were not meant to be wet. The fabric was soft, flimsy, and now uncomfortably stuck to her skin. As a kid, she had loved playing in the rain on the rare occasion it rained, but that was another time. The memory made her smile though because it made her think of her mother.

"Hello?" She called out as she walked into the apartment not knowing if she would find this Carol, who was supposed to be her roommate. "Is anyone here?"

Carol turned from the stove and gave her roommate a curious look. "You have a pet tiger?" she asked. "Definitely have not seen one of those around." And she was fairly certain that if there was a tiger roaming around the streets of a city like this, it would be big news. It raised a lot of questions about where Jasmine was from though.

"If you're concerned about protecting yourself, I can teach you a few things," Carol offered.

Jasmine nodded. Was it really that unusual to have a pet tiger? "His name is Rajah..." Apparently, from the reactions she was getting, people there did not have pet tigers. It was a shame really because her tiger was her best friend. Not to mention, people didn't bother her all that much when you had a tiger to protect you.

"Sure," Jasmine agreed. "Can never know too much, right?"

"I will definitely let you know if I see him," Carol said. Now that she knew a tiger might be her roommate's pet, she wouldn't even blast him. Much. It would be hard not to simply react if she saw a tiger though.

The tea kettle whistled and she filled two mugs with hot water, dunking tea bags into them and carrying them over to the table. "So where exactly are you from?" she asked.

She nodded secretly hoping her pet would magically appear too. How wonderful would that be? Jasmine didn't hold out hope though because this place seemed very particular. "Don't worry, Rajah is friendly to people he likes. I don't think he'd dislike you." She reassured her just in case her pet came walking down the street or something.

"Agrabah!" Jasmine told Carol with a happy smile. "It's in the desert so it's hot! Like all the time." So much unlike their current situation. "There is always some music, spices of every kind are being sold in the street. The clothing is so bright and colorful. It's a vibrant city much like this place perhaps, just in a different way." She paused a moment. "What about you?"

That wasn't a place Carol was familiar with. She supposed that wasn't too much of a surprise though, given that people were apparently here from various universes. "I'm hoping this place will eventually knock off the rain," she said. "But I don't think it'll ever be like the desert." It was too similar to New York for that.

"Sounds like a nice place though," she said. "I... well, I've moved around a lot." Carol knew that she looked much younger than she was thanks to her powers and was hesitant to make a big deal of that. "I was in the Air Force."

Jasmine nodded even though she didn't really know how all of that was. Moving was something she at least knew about in theory. It was probably a hard way to grow up. She didn't move around and her childhood had been hard enough.

"It doesn't seem too bad here, right?"

Carol shook her head. "I don't think so," she said. "I guess time will tell." It wasn't like she trusted who or whatever the jubilant entity was that brought them here. There had to be a reason for it and, in her experience, most things didn't happen for good reasons. Maybe she was overly cynical, but she had reason to be.

"At least we didn't get stuck with terrible roommates," she said. At least she hoped she wouldn't be a terrible roommate. It had been a long, long time she lived with anyone.
