Meme #2 - Character Connections
As the plot ramps up and takes shape, it's time for meme #2! This time, we delve into the shared history of our characters. There are three parts:
1) OFFER. Post a new element of your character's history, a shared experience, and ask for a VOLUNTEER (use the structure of our plot prompts here as a guideline). This will be worth 10 points and can only be earned once. However, if you wish to offer more than one of these, your added participation will be most welcome!
If you've already made a planned connection with someone else via chat or your introductions, add one new detail to it, and instead of typing VOLUNTEER write their name in all caps as well. Make sure you clear this with them ahead of time. And in order for them to get VOLUNTEER points, they must respond to your comment on this page.
2) VOLUNTEER. You can VOLUNTEER for another person's post as well! But before you volunteer, you must make an offer. Here's the trick, though: this is a new connection, which means it must be a character you have not yet written with! Also, you cannot volunteer on someone's entry if they have already volunteered on yours! This will also be worth 10 points and can only be earned once. Please do not volunteer for more than one entry.
3) THREAD. Start a thread based on this new connection! Either a backdated post set during the original shared event, or a current post that in some way (even as small as a mention) ties into that shared history. Not only will these posts qualify you for the weekly plot-related bonus (20 pts), it's also worth an additional 10 points, and these points can be earned multiple times (if you make multiple offers that different people volunteer to)! Again, it must be with a character you've not yet threaded with.
The thread must be started during the next two activity periods (9/1-9/15 & 9/16-9/30) to qualify, and it must have a minimum of three tags by each character (the initial post does count as a tag) or a completed by Gdoc/email post.
