"Ran into Sibyll..." Remus blurted at breakfast, blush coloring his cheeks.

Severus noted the wolf's discomfort.

"You are delusional Lupin, if you think I am even remotely interested."

He glared sidelong down the head table.  Remus focused intently on his plate.

"She asked me to give you...   a message...  er...  'warning'...   regarding our meeting tonight."

Severus snorted, then groaned.

"Spit it out then, Lupin.  Obviously I'll not escape your mission to relay my imminent doom."

"Not doom exactly..."

Lupin flushed even darker.

"She said to tell you..."

Remus hesitated before continuing...

"She said..."  his voice barely a whisper.

"...you're out of lube."

Comments

Lol! That was priceless. Excellent!
Thanks! I love to embarrass Lupin. He can be so guileless sometimes.
ROFL! That's great!
Thanks, I had a chuckle at the idea, too!
Aaaah! *scream* Please post a warning (you know - do not read while drinking mud-morning coffee), *still wiping monitor clean*

You know, I think I inhaled some of that coffee!
Dangerously funny!
"mud-morning" is actually intended to be "mid-morning" - but it did rain heavily all last night!
Forgot to mention how much I like the new icon--very atmospheric.
Whoops! Didn't know I was endangering the equipment! Hope you're all sorted out now.

BTW...I would have accepted the "mud-morning" coffee--my husband drinks it that way, like you could stand a spoon up in it. *grin*
All fine now!
Actually 'mud' works as a description for my coffee too - I'm just happily focused on the overnight downpour (my garden was practically dying, damnit - now looking perky & fresh!!!)
You must be far, far from me as we've been quite soggy for a while. Near Washington, DC--everything blooming and fresh.
A very long way away indeed - I live in Australia! We're moving into Autumn as you are looking forward to Spring.
Lovely! I do hope to get there someday. And Autumn is my favorite time of year.
Hee, very nice!

And I'll forgive the late posting, just this once ;D
Thanks! Maybe we can have "tardiness" as a prompt someday!
