Snape/Lupin Drabble Community

Some mistakes were too great to be forgiven, Remus thought miserably.  Perhaps it had been a mistake to write.  Perhaps he should have gone in person to apologize.  Perhaps Severus would have cursed me on sight.  That might have been a relief.

The crack of apparition outside his cottage did not make him stir; the sound of the door wrenched open did not make him even raise his head.

“Well?  I thought you wanted to apologize.  And grovel at my feet.”  Raising his head hopefully, Remus heard the familiar voice deepen, velvet rubbed smooth over river rocks, “But if you’re going to be kneeling at my feet, you’ll be too busy to grovel.”
