“Good bye?  How can this be good bye, Severus?” Remus asked his eyes wide.

“What did you expect when you announced your engagement to Miss Tonks?  Good riddance would probably be more appropriate.”

“But Severus you don’t understand.”

Severus straightened his spine.  “I understand perfectly.  I am being dumped for a Metamorphmagus woman; a chit of a girl really.”  He huffed. 

 “I can’t explain.  Please understand.”  He pleaded.

Severus’ eyes bore into him for a moment and when with a soft pop he was gone.

“I didn’t ask about Dumbledore.”  Remus whispered.  “I know there had to be a reason.”
