2009 Round of snarry_holidays sign-ups!
Welcome to the sign up post for Snarry Holidays 2009! We will have open sign-ups from today, August 20th, through August 26th at 6pm EST--or until we reach our participant cap of 60, whichever comes first. If you dropped out of the last round or have had difficulties turning in your submission in the past, you might not be eligible to participate (only a very small number of people.) Please feel free to check with the mods at snarryholiday [at] gmail [dot] com if you have any questions about your eligibility.

We strongly encourage everyone to sign-up at IJ. If, for some ~~dire~~ reason you can't sign up on IJ, this post is mirrored on LJ and on DW

If you are unable to sign up because of time constraints during the sign-up period, feel free to e-mail us or to ask a friend to sign up for you by proxy.

If you have any further questions, please refer to the Rules and FAQs for Snarry Holidays 2009. Remember, everyone will receive their assignments on September 1!

Genres, kinks, requests:I'm really feeling the desire for some old-school detention or student/teacher. Can be AU but I would be delighted if you manage some clever way to make it canon-compliant. I like bucketloads of UST, angry childish twisted jar-throwing Snape, Harry getting angry, possessive obsessive rough Snape and a Harry who doesn't make it easy. I tend to prefer optimistic endings but whatever serves the story best. And I'd love it if you take a totally different angle, willfully misinterpret or bend the prompts to your will, so be creative. As long as there is tension, I'm sure I'll love it.
Squicks, dislikes, cautions:Hmmm... I'm not squicked by much. Scat/watersports/vomit is about it. But I do prefer not to read bottom!Snape or mpreg (mostly because I just have no interest in babies). And character-bashing makes my spine crawl. Non-con is alright, dub-con can be fun, young chan is meh but 14+ chan is good. But if you have an absolutely amazing mpreg-bottoming-detention fic idea (?) then roll with it.

Strengths: Hmm... I like writing angsty UST and ambiguous/optimistic endings. I am best at the 10000-word mark which may be a bit long for PWPs! I also like to be challenged.
Squicks:I'm willing to try most things. I'm not sure I could do scat or vomit justice though.

	Heh! Well, I really hate to say I'd never write something, even if it's really not my cup of tea. But I think that might be a bit too much. snort Not that I have ever come across vomitfic, mind you, but last year people put it in their squicks... Oh, it's not because of the beta issue. I don't actually mind having a beta. Last year I just... didn't realize. Plus I was in panic overdrive, and I've no idea when I would have squeezed beta revisions into the proceedings.

No, the only reason I'm not participating this year is because my Games fic is clobbering me, and I've got another fic due for Severus Shorts right after. I've no idea how I'm going to finish either one. *sigh* My bad.
