Summary: From the private journal of John. H. Watson MD; not intended for publication. Being an account of the strange case of the Fourth Deathly Hallow; in which Dr John H. Watson and Mr Sherlock Holmes save a life, discover the true secret of Professor Moriarty, unravel a time loop or two, encounter a femme fatale, imbibe potions, break into and out of a wizarding mansion, hide in a male brothel, go shopping, track down a magical artefact, almost attend a ritual sacrifice, fail to be Obliviated and totally ignore the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, all in the company of a lank-haired, irascible but secretly besotted schoolmaster, a bemused aristocrat and an increasingly perceptive and enamoured young hero.

I'm always hesitant when the majority of the story is written through an outsider's POV, BUT SWEET MOTHER OF GOD THIS IS AMAZING!

You've captured the tone of the Holmes verse, and the relationships of HP.

I love this year's Snarry_Games; everyone's different blend of canon and non-canon is beautiful :)

Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I've loved the Games from the start but this year has some exceptional fics and I'm proud and honoured to be part of it.

I've had this bookmarked for a while, and with the new Holmes movie coming out, I decided to do a little, ahh...research. *grin* Bought a couple of the books (read and loved them) and then remembered I had your fic waiting for me. And honestly, I felt like I was reading another ACD book. Totally awesome.

There are so many reasons I love this story. The language, style, characterizations, the awesome plot - everything - was just perfect. I was also really impressed by how your dialogue and narrative flow together so seemlessly. And the dialogue itself is just fantastic.

My favorite part was when Snape took another dig at Harry (but was completely wrong) and Draco tried to defend him. Harry's little speech right after that just...I can't even tell you how awesome that was. And his response to Snape's question about what he expected from Snape was perfect and heartbreaking. I loved that scene.

Draco deserves a mention for calmly walking up to Moriarty and blowing out his brains. That was seriously badass and I think I shouted something like "Hellyeah!" at my computer. *grin* Actually, you made me kinda like Draco without changing him from his canon personality, which is an accomplishmet, to be sure.

Oh! And Holmes not-so-subtly pushing Harry and Snape together at the end was fabulous. But like I said, there are so many reasons to love this fic, and we'd be here all day if I listed them all.

Incredible story. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Thank you so much! *vbg* I'm delighted that you enjoyed it and the biggest praise of all - that you thought it was like ACD! *even bigger vbg* I loved Sherlock Holmes and Watson from the age of around 7 (that's um.... nearly 50 years...) and I just had to write a cross-over with my favourite boys. And I'm going to see the new film next week! Yay!

Wow, this was a great fic. I loved the realism of the Holmsian London, as well as the Doctor's strong views on things. Awesome piece. If you do a sequel or more of something like this, I will definitely read it. :D

I absolutely loved your story! I passed over it many times, thinking that Sherlock Holmes wasn't my cup of tea. But I finally read it and just loved it! In addition to being an amazing Snarry, it is one of the few stories I have read in which I genuinely liked Draco. Normally, I can barely stand him stories, but you made him admirable and believable - a feat few authors accomplish.

I have to admit that I just discovered the Sherlock Holmes movies recently. I'm from Germany and the 2nd part was released last december. I watched the fist part in January and just 2 weeks ago the 2nd part. Your discription of the characters is so defined, so accurately so just like the movies it's astounding. Also your description of Harry and Snape is just as I like them. Really well IC. Your mind, your imagination shouldn't be "wasted" on the internet, you are made for writing. This is my really one and only most favorite story I've ever read. I've read stories from you before, but this one IMO is the best. Thank you for sharing. Thanks for writing. Love & Hugs, Babs

I love the way you put these favorite characters together in one story, and how you did such an excellent job of it, including an actual plot. :D

THIS SHOULD SO BE A MOVIE!! Damn it, that was so awesome. Where do I even begin? I've read some stories of yours (and am entirely fond of them) but this one was refreshingly different. I usually do not read Sherlock Holmes Fanfictions (somehow doesn't work for me) but this one was certainly an exception. Your plot was really interesting and I wasn't able to stop reading before finishing, though I was supposed to.. Your characters were also very well written, just the way I could imagine them going on after DH. I like how the language varies appropriately and the chemistry between Snape and Harry is genius. Over those last two parts I had to grin broadly. And you explained some things from canon better than canon itself did. This story was real fun to read, so (still) thanks for sharing. :)
