Author's Notes/Disclaimers/Betas: A huge thanks to [info]magic_helmet for doggedly convincing me to enter the Games as an Alternate. To [info]whitestar_alpha for cracking the whip and beating this story into shape. [info]joanwilder for her patience, help as my (previous) captain, and awesome French skills. To Lisa for keeping Severus and Harry in line. To [info]researchgirl and [info]gingertart50 for Brit-picking. To [info]yivel for picking up on all the tiny things. To all my fellow Snitches for being great (ex) team members. To everyone else who helped me crank this out in a month. And a lifetime of thanks and kisses to my own Harry who went above and beyond the call of duty in support.

Summary: Upon waking up, Severus finds himself not recovering from Nagini's bite, but healing after a long-term mysterious illness. Not only must he uncover the mystery of the cause of his affliction, but also deal with his lover, who is the very last person he wanted to ever see again: Harry Potter.

Wow...just wow! Amazing work. A wonderful and intense plot. I really loved it when everything came together toward the end. Physics (especially astrophysics, quantum mechanics isn't as much a favorite, but still fun) is a hobby of mine, so I greatly enjoyed that whole section. I love the intensity of Harry's emotions. I also like the differences between his Severus and the one who replaced him (since the 'new' Severus was from the books, I'm assuming, I guess we can call him our Severus, lol). Really, really magnificent and powerful.~Sophia

Thank you! I'm a huge fan of physics and I've been into quantum mechanics for quite some time. As I'm a nerd, I originally had it all explained in a lot more detail, but I was getting the 'its boring' comments, so I had Harry cut it down for me. Maybe I'll post the 'outtakes' so other nerds can have fun with it.

Outtakes would be fun! I'm reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene (don't have much time to read, so it's going slowly). I can understand quantum mechanics fine, but I prefer the bigger things with astrophysics. I can handle all the theories; they make perfect sense to me, but the math is something I have to struggle with. I'll just stick to reading theories as a hobby.~Sophia

I have the biggest crush on Brian Greene. He's so sexy smart. His videos are fun and explain even very complicated thinks to the average user.

I am completely the same way when it comes to mathematics. I was originally going to including some formulas for Severus to find and Emilie to explain, but I didn't feel like researching the math and I decided to cut down Emilie's part and give her to Harry completely.

I'll have to look up some of his videos or buy them or something then. I need more physics books; I've boxed up all my astronomy related stuff, so I have to hunt for them. Yeah, the math would have been difficult, I think.~Sophia

I couldn't take any of my astronomy books when I moved here to Costa Rica (too much weight), so I can't think of which other ones I love, but if the names pop into my head, I'll be sure to mention them. I'm assuming you've read all of Carl Sagan's stuff. Not very heavy, but very nice reads. And you've also read Michio Kaku's stuff, right?

I actually only just got back into astrophysics. I was a bit obsessed with astronomy when I was younger, but it faded away. My parents just got cable this summer and my interest was revitalized after watching two National Geographic shows pertaining to physics and astrophysics. So I'm only working on The Elegant Universe at the moment, but I'll take a look at those other two authors' works when I get the chance.~Sophia
