“Are you touched, Potter?”

Harry jumped, turning to face his accuser. “What do you mean?” he asked, nerves making his voice crack slightly.

“I mean, I have just discovered that you are the one sending me these... gifts.”

Severus waved a box of chocolates in front of Harry in a sort of mute accusation.

Harry flushed. “Erm... yes?”

“To what purpose?”

Harry smiled tremulously. “Because... I like you?”

Severus’ eyes flared.

“Do you even realize what you’re seeking, what this looks like?” he asked, voice low and dangerous.

“I do.”

“You are touched!”

Harry smiled. “Not yet, but hopefully soon.”
