Who: Anyone who wants to come by
What: Grand-opening party!
Where: Pancho's Bar
When: Friday Night

The streamers were up (because Jan had insisted), and the bar was as ready as it ever would be. Alcohol was stored in a few make-shift shelves on the back wall and a relatively well-cobbled together bar was freshly polished and ready to go. It wasn't the most well-put-together, place, but Pancho's definitely resembled its namesake in terms of dim lighting, chipped tables and a floor that looked like it should be sticky. All in all, Carol was pretty proud of what they'd made. The minifridge was even a good choice since it allowed them to keep some drinks cold (they were going to have to find a larger one in the future, though).

She had warned Peter that the pizza oven needed to be ready by that evening, but she wasn't sure how on the ball with that he was. She'd been busy doing damage control on some electrical issues they were having with the fridge and double checking to make sure they actually had drinking cups (that took a little bit of maneuvering, but Clint came through with the coffee mugs). Yup, vodka from coffee mugs, a mini-fridge filled with a variety of stolen beers, and mismatched chairs. And, of course, the balloons. The annoying, awful squeaky balloons that had floated into a couple of corners of the room, save for the two that kept dragging on the floor and that Carol dreaded would pop at some point that evening. Definitely professional.

Karaoke was set up in one corner of the room with a make-shift stage and Christmas lights (Yes, more Christmas lights) decorating around it. Old 80s rock music blasted from the speakers for now, and Carol stood behind the bar, ready to serve as needed but more than willing to drag anyone else into the position should they so choose that evening.

Loki (616) | Klaus

Loki considered Klaus, watching his hands carefully and wondered if the man was quick with them or just ballsy enough to take what it was he wanted and run. Maybe a little of both, depending what it was he was looking for. Loki himself was more of the former, adding in a bit of smooth talking to get whatever else it was he wanted without much effort at all. So long as what he wanted was attainable, anyway. "Good to know," he said, amused. "You'll be the first person I call if I need a helpful pair of hands."

He sipped his drink -- no chugging for long swallows for Loki who was the image of prim and elegant. Loki liked the compliments, of course, and didn't see any reason to be demure about them. He was good looking, after all, even if it was in a way that was prettier than handsome, like a direct opposite of his brother. "I help if anyone bothers to ask," he said after a beat. Loki was, in general, fairly lazy without prompting. At least when it came to things like community services. "I got the water going."

Klaus could be careful, on occasion, but honestly he'd always been much more of a do it and run kind of guy in all things in his life, it was the only way you could do certain things with Reginald Hargreeves standing over you at all times. So you know, thanks dad for the life skills, they were coming in real handy these days. "We can all use a helpful pair of hands from time to time," Klaus said reasonably, "In fact I think I can say with some certainty that the whole of me can be very helpful under the right circumstances."

Raising an eyebrow when Loki claimed to be helpful when asked, though it sounded like he wasn't being asked to be very helpful as of late, which honestly was a shame. Klaus could think of any number of ways that Loki could help him right here in the middle of this bar, and quite a few more if they ended up back at his place. "Oh you did?" He asked, "Well that is something I am incredibly grateful for. Anyone thank you for that yet, because I can up the amount of thanks I give accordingly if not."

"I'm inclined to believe you," Loki said, seeing no real reason to play coy in a situation like this. Klaus could be fun, and there was no reason at all to not have fun even whilst trapped in a town with the Avengers. "But I think I might need a demonstration, just in case."

He wasn't overly helpful by default, but Loki was occasionally decent enough to be it anyway for the sake of cohesion. Or in order to make a friend. For as much as Loki protested the need, he did want some friends. There was no point in being lonely and bitter. That wasn't him. Not anymore. Still, sometimes it was something of a chore, battling against his past nature.

"I did," he agreed, not bothering to be demure about it. "And no, I don't think anyone has. It's a shame, really. My ego is hurting."

"Well you just let me know when you need a demonstration," Klaus grinned because well he could, and because he had a feeling this was going exactly the direction he wanted it to and that was a far better end to his night than he'd been entirely certain he'd get when he'd walked into this bar in the first place. "I'll be more than happy to oblige."

And poor Loki indeed, doing something for the good of the town like that and not getting the kind of thanks that he deserved for it. Klaus tutted shaking his head at the pure tragedy of it all. "That really is a shame," He sighed, "We're going to have to do something about that, because I for one, am extremely grateful for the addition of working plumbing to our lives."

He paused for a moment considering Loki, and their surroundings, or whether or not he should just suggest they leave already - nevermind that he hadn't been here long before he asked, "Do you dance?"

There was no need to ask Loki to ditch out immediately -- because this was the very first night this bar was opened and Loki very much intended to see it through to close, if only so that he could see if any kind of drama ended up rearing its head. There was no way it couldn't, he was sure, not with a room full of pent up super heroes drinking like it was their new and only hobby.

But he was absolutely going to take Klaus up on his blatant offer, as well.

"I absolutely dance," Loki said with a smile, and it was practically an honest thing, all charmed over the question like he hadn't been expecting it. "Do you want to? Or would you prefer a private show later tonight, once the bar closes? To go with your demonstration."

Yeah this was going to go well, Klaus was sure of that, and there was no need to rush through it. He did love an excuse not to rush himself, to really sit in something and truly enjoy it - after all that was the point wasn't it? A good time? And Loki had good time written all over him.

Klaus had a feeling neither one of them were quite finished with their night out either.

Now it was a question of whether they were going to start now or maybe let it linger. "I have a feeling you have the kind of dance moves that are best viewed in private." Klaus decided, and well that was definitely something he wanted to see for himself, once they left the noise of the bar. "We'll both have a much better time after the bar shuts down for the night."

"I think you're right," Loki agreed, although he had no real problem showing off in public either (what man who wore a crown daily would?). Still, the promise of something fun at the end of the night was a good one. Klaus was pretty and he was interesting and Loki would rather learn him than do something quick and dirty outside or in a bathroom. Anyway, he was usually classier than all that. Sometimes.

"Tell you what," Loki said, sipping from his tea mug for dramatic pause. Loki loved some dramatics. "When you get bored or when the bar closes, you come find me. Whichever comes first. I think we both have a little mingling to do."
