WHO: Klaus and Bill
WHAT: Just two dudes going into space
WHERE: Space Mall
WHEN: Today

Klaus had gotten a lot of different ideas to look out for since he'd put out the call for that sort of thing, and he had his own list that he was keeping an eye out for. It had been a long time since they'd had a family Christmas, and sure this Christmas wasn't really the whole family Christmas, but Ben was there and Diego too - and there was Bill and some of the others from town that he liked. So he could call it a family Christmas if he wanted.

And then he'd heard the doors were going to something like a mall and what better place to get all of his holiday items at once. Maybe he shouldn't have grabbed Bill for the trip, you know since he was hoping maybe to find something for him, but Klaus never had been one to stand on tradition for those sorts of things. So Bill was coming along.

"Would you look at that," He said a bit wonderingly, his arm hooked through Bill's as they stepped through the door together and into what was unmistakably a mall but not like any mall he'd ever been to. It was far more colorful for starters, and there were aliens just wandering around like there was nothing at all strange about that, and strange writing above a lot of the shops in languages he couldn't even begin to try and pretend to read. And well - yeah this was definitely the place for what he had in mind.

"Fancy a little bit of exploring?" He grinned at Bill, eager to see what they might find together in this place.

It would be an interesting thing to actually be able to give Ben something this year, after so many years of simply dragging Ben around with him wherever he went and occasionally allowing him to direct him toward something that might have piqued his brother's interest, Klaus could actually give Ben something from his own hands and know that he'd enjoy it. So he wanted it to be something great, though what exactly fit into that category was something he was still trying to figure out. As for Diego - well maybe a knife? that seemed right. Either that or a pair of mittens.

And Bill, well - "Oh you've always been on a list all your own," He agreed with a grin, tipping his head in Bill's direction just a touch, preening under the easy affection. It was such a nice thing he had with Bill, it didn't feel demanding or even desperate. They simply fit together, and understood one another easily too, it was a different kind of connection than he'd ever had with anyone before and he was kind of mad about Bill for it. Not that he'd ever said as much.

But Bill was something special and he wanted that same kind of moment with him as he imagined for Ben.

Things sobered a little when Bill told him it would be his first Christmas without a sweater from his mom, and that might not be something he could exactly replicate but he could definitely get him a sweater. "You must have had quite the collection of sweaters back home." He said with a soft huff and a grin, after all Bill wasn't a child, and if this was his first year without one? Well Klaus might not be good with math but even he knew that was a pretty impressive number.

Maybe it was a little silly of them talking about home and things like that in a place like this, but where better really?

He'd liked Klaus from the start, the easy chemistry that they had between them. But they'd bonded as well, he'd seen real fear there in Las Vegas and they'd come through that together. There were parts of himself that he'd let Klaus get at, mentioning his family in a way he usually wouldn't. They'd got to know each other and luckily what he'd got to know Bill had liked.

Bill laughed thinking about the sweaters with a fond smile. "She'd reuse it, the wool," he explained. "We'd grow out of 'em about as quick as she could knit them and she'd unwind them and start again." Because Molly Weasley was practical when it came down to it.

Here he was just about as far from The Burrow as you could get and while he usually kept it from his mind, along with his dead brother and a world being ravaged by war, the season tended to have thoughts surfacing you'd perhaps rather wouldn't.

"You're crushing my mental image here," Klaus pouted when Bill told him the truth of the matter, because he'd been picturing a whole line up of sweaters from tiny to more adult man sized, "And let me tell you the mental image was adorable." He liked these parts of Bill, because same as Klaus Bill was fairly free with himself and who he chose to spend his time with, but there were some things that they shared just between the two of them, things they didn't share with some of the others that might have managed to carve out just a bit of their time.

But he supposed Bill's reality made more sense, especially with a growing family like that. Even if the truth of it wasn't quite as adorable, it was still a nice thought, to get a handmade sweater every year like that. It was certainly not the kind of home life Klaus was used to.

"So a sweater for Christmas," Klaus nodded, that much he could handle, "I don't suppose you've got anything else on your list this year?" He wondered with a grin on his face and a waggle of his eyebrows.
