WHO: Leia Organa & Galen Marek
WHAT: Space Mall
WHERE: Through the doors.
WHEN: Sometime during doors plot.

Leia had managed a second full moon without harming anyone, dealing with it slightly differently this time around, and still keeping it to herself, to all except Remus, who had been kind enough to let her get it off her chest, and approach him for help. It’d made her a little more reclusive, for how dangerous this creature was - even though she still went about her day, in mostly a regular way. She just found things to keep busy with, she’d been through the doors, alone and unannounced more than regular, recently. Helping to keep the town in stock of warm clothing and winter weather supplies. As for Galen, she wasn’t entirely certain he noticed, or perhaps he did? Leia wasn’t entirely certain how she’d go about talking about any of it, she wasn’t even certain she would find a way; but it was likely better that way, at least until she had matters better under control.

But, given it wasn’t so long ago they’d decided to venture through the doors together more often, Leia hadn’t want to turn down the idea posed, for one she wouldn’t have an explanation ready either? Which would likely only put things into question. The Princess certainly doubted it’d go a smoothly as their previous trip, but she wasn’t quite guarded either. Perhaps it’d be just fine? Perhaps they’d make it more about scavenging than leisure, all the same, given they didn’t know what they’d encounter, they’d both come along with supplies, just in case.

The door brought them through to a grand sprawling and extravagant space, it didn’t take long to assess, with some examination that it was an indoor marketplace on a huge scale. Like the malls she’d encountered more than once or gathering missions, one of the bigger differences was, the glass ceiling above showed the vast galaxy outside; nothing immediately familiar, but breathtaking all the same. The streamlined, smooth design of everything that made the space seem nearly endless, the metallic look rather similar to Empire technology - but it was clear that it wasn’t quite immediately - no insignia, no Aurebesh and, importantly, the lack of any military trappings or Stormtrooper patrols.

Galen was frustrated. Not actually at Leia, but at the slow pace. Being a man of action and a man of now, the allowing Leia to move at her pace especially after the incredible trip they took through the doors. The ride along the coast, swim in the ocean, and night spent together... even in the same bed. Then when they get back to Starklandia, she gets distant again.

Galen was trying. He was trying really hard.

So when Leia had reached out for a trip through the doors, there was no hesitation from the Sith. Well, just a little bit just so he didn't come off as over eager, but he was delighted with the opportunity for another chance. Meeting at the doors, he allowed Leia to pick the door while he made sure both of his weapons were easily accessible, and then away they went. Right, into something they both would be familiar with. It was space. Hopefulness radiated off Galen as he looked up at the stars. His hand reached out and grasped Leia's hand with a little squeeze.

"Look at it." And just like that, he was no longer frustrated or even remotely mad. The darkness of space, and the coldness of the this station. This space station that looked like what, a mall they called it? Space Mall? Regardless, Galen cared little of that. Turning his attention to Leia he smirked. "Tell me this doesn't feel more like home than anything." As he pulled her closer lightly, before realizing he was holding her hand. Looking at it, then her face. He was not going to be apologetic this time. "Are you ready to see what this place has to offer?

There truly was something about the beauty of the wide, the endlessness of the galaxy above them, and something Leia found she’d missed. Though the stars were very visible and stunning within Starklandia, this was different. It was a view she’d enjoyed by never thought she’d miss as greatly as she did. Leia took a moment to stare, and take it in. Even if there wasn’t a constellation or world familiar in sight, there was no knocking such a wonderful view.

Much like Galen, it was almost impossible for Leia to hold on to what she was currently brooding about, not only because of the incredible sight before them, which as he said, was undeniably like their homeworld - or at least, had a strong, almost pleasant sense of the familiar to them both. Regardless, Galen’s veritable delight was practically infectious, and there was no way she couldn’t break into a smile as he pulled her closely for a moment, and kept hold of her hand, marvelling at what they had ahead of them, how much there was to see. “It does feel like home.” She agreed with warmth in her voice. It almost settled that homesickness, just a touch. "It's kind of- beautiful." She near laughed, who'd say such of a space-station type outlet, solely for shopping - but a place like this had a very special significance for them, not just a novelty.

“I almost don’t know where to start.” Other than wandering forward of course, to inspect the nearest shop. Alongside the bustling array of stores, there were also food smells, and the scent of delicious treats in the air.

Honestly, it was so long since Galen had the opportunity to feel as if he was in space. Somewhere close to the cold vacuum of nothing. It was just exactly what he needed to bring him back around to feel good about things. Not being able to place what system in space they were, or anything of the such didn't even matter.

With everything washed away, not only from him, but from her... Galen looked to Leia while they held on to this moment just for a second. While they were reeling in the moment, she helped coax him forward to see what there was to explore in this specific place. Sure the novelty of it would fade, but right now he didn't care.

Looking at all the stores and people moving about. No, not just people. Starkiller sidestepped closer to Leia moving out of the way of a giant space slug carrying shopping bags. He stared and followed as the slug went about it's business. "I don't care where we start, but lets enjoy this." With a quick glance, he pointed at a store that looked it sold clothes and such. "That one." With no waiting, Galen pulled Leia with him towards and into the store without checking it out in the slightest.

Yes. The novelty of it was enough for now. A sense of home, and familiarity combined in all would be enough for Leia to push aside whatever it was weighing on her in Starklandia, and just take today as another pleasant outing, and embrace it for that. This mall looked big enough to spend hours in - though she would be somewhat more doubtful of how fortunate and successful scavenging would be in such a populated area, should they not have the Force on their side. Not that they necessarily had to take anything with them - it just seemed a foolish opportunity not to.

The Slug going about it’s day had a certain Huttese quality, but most certainly wasn’t one. Still for that it caught their attention, Leia also caught glancing at the slow-moving creature too, before Galen announced he didn’t care where they started, just so long as they dove into what was a rather different, but likely rather fun adventure, of sorts - not quite as thrilling as their respective pasts, but adventure all the same? Leia was in tow without much say, but she didn’t mind at this point, it was as she’d said almost impossible to know where to begin.

The store they arrived at, was at first glance a clothing one, and a rather extravagantly fashioned one at that, and definitely not as brightly lit as the other shops either. It smelled too - not particularly to Leia’s personal taste, but it was a perfumed aroma that was between floral, spiced and sweet. It was, at a mere glance a clothing store - but it really didn’t take that long of a look around, to see that it was a very specific type of clothing, and right now in the Princesses eyes really not conducive to helping the already slightly stalled situation Leia was creating between them, for a reason. At least - until she found a way to talk to him. It only seemed right.

“Come on-” She tried to sort of laugh it off to Galen, giving him a push to start moving on to the next store, before they were interrupted by a - Leia would have called her obnoxious, but an overly-bright and friendly alien, with a soft purple skin hue - humanoid for the most part, and adhering to what Leia imagined was criteria based on one's genetic 'luck', required to work here.

“Isn’t that just beautiful?” She crooned at them both, eyes alight, and clearly desperate to make a sale. Leia almost thought it was unfortunate she spoke basic, or whatever it was in this galaxy, she wasn’t even looking at the item, but the purple shop assistant still held it up, what was an admittedly very pretty, and floaty blue piece of lingerie. “Thank you- we’re fine. Really.” Leia was by this point, trying hard to disengage, diplomatically.

It was very quickly that Galen learned exactly the type of store they went to. It was saucy. It was spicy. The thing that this purple woman was showing them was barely anything at all that resembled covering Leia. Worse than the bikini she had worn on the beach. Was this... see through!?

Immediately Starkiller blushed and looked to Leia and back to the woman who was trying to push the lingerie onto them. There was a pull in two directions. Or three? It didn't matter. He could tell a couple things immediately. One, that Leia liked the blue piece even if she was politely declining, and the other was - he could feel how pointed Leia just wanted to leave this spot.

A wave of his hand. "There are other customers." And the woman vanished to peddle the wares on another.

It gave them the opportunity to escape. Once away, Galen sighed. "Okay, we might need directions." He laughed lightly, trying to avoid the awkward situation they had encountered. "Though.." He paused stopping in place. This wasn't private really, but there was something about the intimacy of the garment that raised a question in his head.

"What is this." He pointed back and forth between them. He needed to know. "We have nice times, like now and the beach, and then." He paused. "It's like at times you keep me at a distance." Shifting his weight. "I also sense something is different.."

He sighed. "Is it me?"

Relieved to be out of the shop, and away from the pressure of the sales attendant who she had no doubt was only going to press the matter, unless they left, Leia was entirely aware of where he was going, relatively quickly at that - and, whilst she realised that, whether she worked up toward how she wanted to talk about it, or Galen approached her about it, either way it was something that would have to be addressed. She'd just decided it would be in her way, why shouldn’t it be after what’d happened to her? And without a way to ensure his safety? Well. She wasn’t entirely sure how to discuss it until that was more certain. Yet, here and now he was starting, in the middle of a crowded centre, with hundreds, possibly thousands around them she was entirely conscious of.

“I’m just not interested in some -tacky, impractical underwear, alright?” Leia dismissed very quickly and assuredly, as if she had every right to not want to be cornered by a shop assistant into buying something she didn’t want. Well, the luxuriousness of the store, how nice the item had been and the prices indicated it was anything but tacky. Nice or not, impractical was a matter of fact at this point in time. She had no use for it and she didn’t want to think about it either, right now.

“It’s- not.” She assured firmly, through a highly tense demeanor, her gaze shifting as she moved to ensure she wasn’t blocking the traffic, even though they’d moved aside after stepping out of the store, still very conscious of those around her, the bustle and the background noise. She wanted to avoid it as a whole, though his sincerity was hard to push away, even if it was just about the worst possible time to start questioning her. “Why- don’t we just keep looking. Somewhere else? We were having a perfectly nice time.” All of, five minutes ago.

Welp. There it was. Just firm to the point Leia. Just shut it down, and it's done. No more. It just didn't work for Galen really. He just wasn't one to be shut down, and have his feelings tossed aside. Well, wasn't quite that and he knew it, but the placement didn't particularly matter to him. He was just tired of running from the conversation. They managed to have some talk while at the beach, but here they were now in a mall in space, and she decided this was to populated.

Great.

So here wasn't good for talk. Back in Starklandia wasn't good for talking. Where was it fine?! Scowling, Galen turned on his heel to continue walking. "Fine. We'll keep looking." Not that there was much joy in it at this point. Starkiller was just - lost. What was he to do? Torture? That wasn't right, and probably would leave a sour taste in the woman's mouth regarding him. Use the Force? That felt just as wrong, and even worse invasive to her and her mind. Sighing he just walked in silence looking at the different stores until one sparked enough interest to have him slow and point at it.

"This one?" He asked. "It looks less intimate." Galen didn't particularly wait for an answer before stepping in through the open doors which had knickknacks on shelves. Maybe he'd finally find gifts for the people on his list for this strange holiday.

Really, he couldn’t see this was a terrible place to talk? She practically gritted her teeth as he moved on. And he had no idea what it was all about - not really. Not that it was his fault, he simply didn’t know better that there was more to it than her being certain of what she wished. In Leia’s mind the exception was the fact he’d decided this was a suitable place to discuss more private matter. It was noisy, and highly populated - that much he ought to think on, perhaps consider. As much as he had a right to be heard, she had every right to feel this wasn’t a matter to be talked about, or argued perhaps, right in this moment.

So, it wasn’t as easy as that. But, Galen’s mood had turned entirely now, and Leia suspected there was little to be done to salvage matters.

Leia did follow to the store, avoiding a tall, green furred being on their way out. She joined him as he was brooding over a shelf, parts irritated and also - understanding of the confusion, the fact he knew the least in this situation. “It’s- not that I don’t want to talk to you- that we can’t ..work this out.” Be it Leia wishing to keep her distance until matters were better under control, on a full moon. “Just- here of all places, now?” She remarked tensely. Wondering if they couldn’t find somewhere better.

She sighed in a resigned sort of manner, knowing she’d not jumped at the chance in Starklandia either. But she’d needed time. “Maybe there’s somewhere quieter.”

She wasn't allowed to get mad at him, as he moved on. He let it go. He dropped it. Just as she so pointedly expressed. Starkiller would let her reap what she created. Though where she found the conversation needed for private matters, Galen did not. Regardless if it was because he never knew the concept, or that it was just a simple topic didn't matter. All Galen knew was, they needed to talk about it sooner or later, and Leia seemed to figure that it was going to be VERY much later if ever. So, he let it go and brooded, because frankly - it left him in a sour mood.

Then she came closer and started talking to him about it. Well, not whatever it was, but the lack of talking about it and it needing to be more sensitively talked about. Looking to Leia he nodded slowly. "Yeah. Here. There. Anywhere. There isn't a here that has been suitable for you, so why not here." Galen countered. But then she mentioned needing somewhere quieter.

Galen looked around, and saw in the back of the store. They were little closets, but above the door it was for testing on the limited clothing selection the store had. Mostly ironic shirts. She needed private and quiet? Fine. He'd provide something. Galen took her hand in his and started moving for the back of the store. Picking one of the changing rooms, he used the Force to unlock the door and open it. Galen pushed Leia in, and followed shutting the door behind them. It was small enough to keep them close to each other, but not on top of each other.

"Fine." Starkiller stated. "Private. Quiet." He looked her in the eyes. "Talk."

Some indication would’ve been fairer, perhaps just saying something, anything to him that- she needed to talk, but on her terms. Leia knew that much - but she’d known he’d just have followed it up immediately, then and there, that if she had something to say, she doubted he’d take giving her space. They had gotten, after all so remarkably close, and it had felt good, and in most ways right, even if Leia was still getting used to letting go, things she was likely to never seen again, and their homeworld. But that was all useless to contemplate, how she might better have handled it or not. This is where they were now, and it was back on unsteady ground.

Leia had supposed something this vast would have out of the way areas, some might have gardens, or even parks within them - it was big enough to be closer to a miniature space station than any mall the Earth buildings had contained. Either way, there was usually somewhere comfortable and away from the bustle of the main areas they could go - and Leia, in a manner of relenting had suggested it, to perhaps get the ball rolling, and Galen as usual had taken it as he pleased. She wouldn’t be man-handled practically into a cupboard to start talking, resenting being pushed through - at least she didn’t want that - she had grown used to his nature in time, but she wouldn’t be cornered despite her poor choices.

Leia wasn’t quite angry, but the way she gazed back didn’t seem pleased, either once they were shut in. “This isn’t what I meant.” She snapped, giving nothing else. Clueless, or literal, or whatever it was that guided him, she knew he had the ability to tap into better sensibilities too, that on some level, he could tell something was churning. This wasn’t one of those moments, and if she was going to talk, it didn’t look like it would be in here.

There was a lot of a lot of things that would have been fairer or even better than what they had happening in the now. She was worried about him giving her space? SPACE? He had done nothing but give her space, because she asked, Barbara suggested, and he had listened. Frankly, Galen was tired of just being in limbo. In this place where he was or was not important enough to her. Starkiller just really needed to know now, and her reluctance just fueled wanting answers.

Being in such a tight quarters, and Galen essentially blocking the only exit, not exactly his truest intention, but reality. "It's never what you meant, but you never take the time." Galen challenged. "You have had all the time to decide, or to make it important." Starkiller leaned toward her. His voice not raising, above a dull whisper. "BUT, you didn't make it important for weeks." He sighed. "I'M making it important. You're important to me, and I need to know. I deserve to know, because this," His finger pointed back and forth between them again. "Is supposed to be a two way street." Thanks for the help Babs.

"So what is it, Leia?" Galen whispered. "Am I important or not?"

Leia's resistance via silence held at first, not wanting to reward his more aggressive efforts with information, or what he wanted - in her mind, she’d finally offered an avenue by which to open communication, and she still ought to have control over that. But she lingered, by his way of being in the way, without even trying - Leia was forced to reason that, perhaps the fact she had made no efforts to initiate conversation in all this time, kind of set an even keel regarding his refusal for leniency, and the lack of trust that she would confront it without such. Leia let out a sigh, as she did concede perhaps she’d forfeit the right to establish her terms on this matter.

But he was right - it was give and take and she could, at this point direct the course.

"Of course you are." She shot back quickly, as if it was almost a ridiculous question, and for a moment, she turned over the thought that she could avoid anything further if she just bit back again, it would be exceptionally easy to push him away in this moment, and she wouldn't have to worry about anything other than keeping him as safe, as anyone else within the town because there would, no question be a permanent divide between them. Leia was quiet for a little while, as if she wasn't going to say anything further, her silence wasn't petulant, or indicating avoidance, as she wasn’t ignoring him either, her gaze still upon him. But the Princess was contemplative of what was the wiser choice.

“It’s because you’re important.” Leia voiced earnestly, with a sort of matter-of-fact tone, as if she was teetering on the edge, of leaving it vague, or pushing away. “Something happened, behind the doors- ..uh, not- not the Beach.” She specified calmly, in case his mind went toward some kind of regret on her behalf, for how close they’d become. “Before that- when that Halloween holiday was going on.”

She paused for a moment, watching him with caution. In part putting her words together, and part to gauge if it was worth continuing.

Immovable object meet unstoppable force. The pair of them were insanely stubborn, and dedicated. The pair of them didn't stop until they had to. So, there was a very tense moment between the pair of them, which Galen wasn't sure how it was going to pan out to be.

Then she snapped at him. Well, that was good right?

Then she let it loose. So, he was right to a degree. Something happened while they were apart. He'd blame himself later for that, because if he had wanted to go through the doors during that time, maybe he'd of been able to keep her protected, but he was more interested in the immediate of what happened. Softening his expression, he nodded slowly.

"What happened Leia?" Starkiller questioned softly with a note of concern.

The trouble with letting him know exactly what was going on, Leia had already surmised would be how he responded. She knew better than to think it would be enough to put him off, given she knew just how stubborn he was - and generally how self assured too, when it came to what he could handle. She wasn’t dissimilar, but this was different and she needed to be able to choose how she wanted the situation to be controlled and for him to behave with some sense about it.

Her reluctance was clear, but his softening tone helped, and the Princess let out a sigh, a small shrug of defeat in her shoulders. There really wasn’t any going back now on simply forging ahead, recounting what happened.

“I think most of us had no idea they were locking people in- thankfully I ended up with Siri. And I had a weapon with me.” Sure, Leia was proud of her ability to defend herself, and that she’d have fought no less hard had she been alone, but she also was willing to give credit where due, the Jedi Master had kept her alive. “Anyway, we encountered these creatures- which in some ways resembled the Shistavanen.” Wolf-like with the ability to stand on their hind legs, making them appear humanoid, they’d moved on four legs as well though.

“They weren’t. They were Werewolves-” And for a moment, Leia thought that would be all she’d need to say, sort of. “You remember when Remus- addressed the community about his affliction? That evening of the full moon he didn’t have his Sirius around to prevent him attacking the town.” Leia, had in fact shot him with her blaster. She still felt rather bad about that. “They were similar.” Only they were bigger, more monstrous, in her eyes.

It was hard to isolate, to recoil or avoid looking at him in such a confined space, but perhaps that was a good thing, even so, Leia kept what distance she could. “We fended them off, until morning-" The difficulty and trauma associated with that had stayed with her, and she'd thought that was the only reason she'd been continually haunted in her sleep. "But in the process I was bitten by one.” She had already wrapped her hand around a wrist and was starting to wring at it.

Well. There it was. Not only what had happened but the large amount of guilt that followed it. Siri was with her during that time, and Galen would always think her a second rate Jedi, but that was because just as Leia would recount - Starkiller's confidence in his own abilities were absolute.

There was a soft look in Galen's eyes. Not in pity, but because she was harmed, and that hurt him.

After a moment, he finally nodded. He remembered fighting what's his face - Remus during that full moon during the time when the whole town was down with the illness. He was among them. If he was healthy, Galen knew he could of cut the beast down - no, he couldn't think like that. That was the Sith talking. It wasn't a beast. Leia wasn't a beast. Nothing changed. There was nothing different about this woman that he was so affectionate for. She was still Leia and she was still his Leia just now afflicted with something that they would have to learn how to adjust with.

"Okay." Was what he said finally while he finished processing all the information. With a nod he spoke again. "Okay," Starkiller's words were definite. "What do we do now?" He stated. "We just have to keep you occupied on full moons. That will be easy enough." With zero hesitation, his hand took hers in his. "We'll figure this out. This is just what it is. You're no less Leia, or the Leia I've gotten to know." With a small boyish grin, he followed up with.

"This. We got this. Together there isn't a thing we can't accomplish."

There was a sound she made, a short of huff of her breath, part sigh and part almost a wry shadow of a laugh, as if she had known this would follow. She had been right about his admirable, but foolish aspirations.

There was a part of her that wanted to kiss him, a sweet gesture for his kindness, and his ability to reassure her, understand that anyone would need it, within this moment. She was still who he knew, and there was something about hearing that, that nearly made her smile, the hints of it were there at the corner of his lips as she stared at the floor, but she didn’t let herself - she hadn’t pulled out of his grip. The way he spoke, wasn’t that she could manage, it was they could. He was already talking distracting, involvement. He’d be there with her.

“No-” Leia shook her head, she didn’t want her refusal mistaken for ungratefulness or rejection. “I appreciate it, of course I do.” She was sincere in that, and she met his gaze to ensure he took that to heart, that his offer wasn’t refuted because his support was unwanted, it wasn’t that. He’d said the right thing, from the heart anyway, in this case he needed to use his head, he needed to think like a Sith, for a change, perhaps. “It’s ..not something you manage with people who could be in danger, anywhere near you.” And, that too likely answered some of his confusion, and her reasons for retreating. She had known what he’d want to do. “You didn’t see them. They’re bigger than you-” Bigger than a tall human. Of course, did a person’s human height account for the size they became? She had no idea. “Relentless. They- won’t be distracted, or pacified or ..they just about killed Siri and I, we were both armed.”

Leia told him no. Leia had informed him that she wanted him as far and as safe as possible. That whole notion that she thought that he would listen to such a asinine idea was hilarious. A smile crossed his lips as she was telling him all these things. Bigger than him. Stronger. Relentless. How they could almost kill him, or worse yet - succeed in killing him. These were the concerns that would be valid, but the pair of people in town prior to Leia had done so much to keep the people from knowing. To keep the people in town safe also from it. As a pair. As a team.

Taking a deep breath, Galen shook his head. "You are truly beautiful when you think you can tell me what to do." He offered a strong smile. "There is not a world, universe, or dimension where what you just said would ever happen."

Starkiller released Leia's hand and both his hands went to the sides of her face, so they would lock eyes. "Leia, I am going to say this once, and only the once," To lock it in place really, he pressed his lips to hers for a brief moment in a kiss before continuing. "You are not, in any foolish way, doing this alone." Starkiller frowned at her. "I will not shy away and fear you because you now have this in you." Shaking his head. "We will figure it out, and with the Force, and sheer willpower," He kissed her again. "WE will figure this out." Or Galen would die trying.

"We. Have. This. Under. Control."

Leia waited for what she’d cautioned to sink in, for him to process what she was asking, or rather telling him, that he had to be aware of and why. She didn’t put much weight in the notion he’d listen, or take her warnings with any seriousness. Honestly, she knew Galen better than that, and it might have been a lot easier to insist and argue her point further, that something so dangerous, it wasn’t for him to be a part of; if he weren’t being so particularly sweet, and so determined about it. Remus had Sirius, but she felt, they had far more safeguards in place.

His assurance that there was absolutely no situation in which he would do as she’d asked, Leia almost wanted to laugh, it sort of came out as a huff though, because it wasn’t quite the situation for humour, and there was still a sense of fear, and concern for him writhing around in the pit of her stomach.

With his hold keeping their eyes locked, Galen only made a further effort so cement his words, not just in the way he spoke, but sealing it with a gentler affection. Protests still wanted to bubble up from her throat, and insistence he was underestimating the situation and couldn’t know until he saw the beast. But it seemed one way or the other, they would meet.

His words warmed her, and gave her hope, as much as it fed her fears. If he was going to insist on going through this, there was a far more sinister duty he’d have - but, Leia felt there was no need to go into it now. But if she posed a real danger to the town, she’d rely on him to keep others safe by any means.

But, that conversation could be left for a later date.

“You make it very difficult to argue you with you.” She finally said softly, which while it gave away she was still in some amount of disagreement that this matter was under control, but it seemed she’d accepted he was going to be involved.

Finally an agreement being made. It naturally was something neither of them really wanted, but they didn't have that option now. Galen heard her plea. He even understood that there were some serious consequences possible if they weren't careful in how they handled the situation.

They would figure it out.

Ultimately they had landed on the ultimate decision. The one, that Leia just had to accept in this case. She could protest, he'd hear her protests, but Gale wasn't about to walk away from this - so Leia was truly stuck with him now. Though, her concerns of running rampant in town, well, Galen wasn't about to kill her if that was the case. He was almost certain he'd stop her, and it would hurt her a little, but she'd heal. Besides, if he had to forcibly stop her from destroying the town it wasn't like it was going to hurt him any. After the situation was over, he'd nurse her wounds, and then they would do better next time.

They'd just have to work hard in this hypothetical next time. Galen was mostly unconcerned about failing, because it wasn't an option.

"We discussed this." Galen offered a soft smile. "I am very determined and incredibly persuasive." He laughed lightly. It was true, but it was mostly like he - he was just insanely stubborn. "Now, c'mere." Galen told her as he this time pulled her right against him pressing his mouth to hers in a very pointed and heated kiss.

There was a half-smile of sorts, as Galen only stood by the fact she knew better than to argue against something he was so resolute in. She'd given in to it, or accepted his words, but the unease within her said she wasn't completely settled with it, or entirely fine with what he proposed they do. Leia could only hope they had the Force on their side, she hadn't thought about the possibility of being able to use it as a measure of control? How? She'd have to leave that up to him.

Quite rightly, they had previously discussed his ability to combine her on matters, and there wasn't a protest from Leia as he drew her close, and met her lips - with a kiss she hadn't felt the likes of since their little vacation, which now felt an age ago, given the distance she had put between them. Sighing as she leaned into it, her arms sliding about him before she gently drew back, without compromising their closeness.

"I was just afraid you'd be every bit as determined as you are being now-" Leia sighed, this was entirely more preferable than the self-imposed isolation she'd made an attempt to adhere to. "-and that I'd hurt you, because of it." She hadn't entirely let her fear go and she wouldn't until a full moon passed, with him, alive and unharmed. "This is dangerous. But-" She shook her head in a resignation, it was decided. "I know- I know."

There was no question, no convincing him otherwise. If nothing else, it was a relief she didn't expect, as concerned as she still was. "Shall we make an effort to salvage this expedition?" She asked, with a motion behind him to the door.

Well, this was the result of his determination. The result that he wasn’t just going to let Leia have her way and push him aside and deal with issues in her own. Ultimately, Galen has now decided that they were now more team than they were separated. Just that notion alone made him quite happy, and the smile on his lips likely showed how pleased he was with that also. All and all, the thing he knew was this - they would be just fine.

Just as Leia felt the surge from their kiss, Starkiller shared the same feeling. The closeness, the heat in the kiss, just the raw emotion of it while in the confined space was causing his heart to race. The sound of his heart in his ears. Leia only fanning that fire as she wrapped herself around him and pressed into him.

Galen let Leia say her piece allowing her to come full circle that he was not going to back away from her or this. Physically or metaphorically. “You’re allowed to be concerned.” He voiced. “You’re just not allowed to toss me aside because of those concerns. We work this out together.” Galen reiterated. Following her eyes, Galen looked to the door and saving the expedition. “In time..” He whispered as his attention fell on her again. Bold and full of whatever he was feeling, continued. “I’m not quite done with you yet..” He threatened playfully, as his lips planted right to hers. A hand on the small of her back pulled her right up against her while he pressed the kiss into a passion filled kiss.

“It’s not- tossing you aside.” Leia tried to defend, but it didn’t matter her intention. Technically without communication, Galen had every reason to simple feel discarded, pushed aside. Even if she had good intent behind it. “But- we will. We’ll work on it together.”

Leia got half a sound of half-hearted protest in before he’d scooped her up, Galen clearly so immediately ready to re-spark where they’d left off, and let it carry them both away, right in this moment. Leia couldn’t entirely blame him either, as wholly inappropriate as this was becoming, everything they’d worked towards really had seemed so powerful, and so certain after that day they spent together through the doors, and then - well, then she was left with not knowing how to handle this new wolf-shaped affliction, and just as quickly, their closeness seemed to inexplicably disappear. So, she could hardly blame him for wanting not to waste a second longer now they'd found their resolution.

Leia did indulge for just a moment as he kissed her; the rush of feeling her heart pound, equally swept up and too quickly sensing it would only be impossibly easy to let all else melt away, forget all else than they were both in this space, and they felt as intensely as they did. Technically, she didn’t want to let the moment go so soon, however this wasn’t quite her preferred location, to pursue their re-connection and move on from what was now, until the full moon arrived, something she’d allowed herself to cast aside her fears on. Even if this space was convenient - that was about all it had going for it.

There was some reluctance to breaking the kiss, and she sighed. “Come on-” The Princess gave him a gentle, tender sort of push to put a little space between them, palms to his chest, and still in his arms. “We best take advantage of all the shopping there is to do while we’re here-”

None the less of any reasons, it was the now moving forward. They were moving forward.

The way things re-sparked was simple. There was enjoyment in the moment, and in the normal Starkiller way, he didn't care in the slightest about who saw or knew. No one mattered anyway, and he was a simple man enough to know that this was not the ideal place for Leia. Regardless of that, he just wanted the moment for the now to be enjoyed. To reconnect and indulge in each other for the briefest of moments.

So when the kiss was reluctantly broke, he sighed softly at her. Letting the kiss linger in his mind. Letting the emotions of his wash over him. The reluctant anger now washed away with a pleasant desire, that if Galen was being honest, he didn't know what to make of that quite presently. With a nod, Galen agreed. "Yes. We should keep shopping." Okay, he was reluctant, because he felt so good in that immediate moment.

Snaking his fingers through hers he led them out of the small space back into the store in which they were now getting stares at. Galen looked about the store. They were having a conversation. What was weird about that? Ignoring the people, Galen just led them from the store so they could try a different one.

“Good.” Leia smiled, knowing from her own experience too, that it was taking a little extra effort to summon the will to abandon their little interlude until a somewhat more appropriate time, and place. “Besides, you never know what we might find.” There might be some exotic foods, or clothing handy for the cold weather, plus of course, some tech beyond the ordinary Earth sort.

Lead out by Galen, there was some awkward sort of attention focused on them; where the milling shop attendants were both making it clear they’d noticed the two of them slipping into the change room, and simultaneously trying to appear as if they weren’t staring. They weren’t even disheveled, so why all the attention?

Leia rolled her eyes and heaved out a sigh, trying not to let any visible embarrassment show. Likely just as well they left, before it's potentially been escalated. “Um- so why don’t we go looking for gifts? Apparently it’s an Earth custom this time of year to exchange them.” Which wasn’t unusual really, worlds all over the galaxy had different days of celebration, or ceremonies of remembrance, often gifts were a part of that. “You could get something nice for Babs if you liked?” Someone she was most thankful was in Galen’s life, she was a steadfast friend, and close enough to a near sibling, she thought.

Galen's main focus was on things that were them, so the stares were forgotten just as fast as they gotten them. His concern was making the best of the situation that they were in now. Sure, she was afflicted with something, but she was still his Leia that he knew.

"Well, I already got something for you." Galen admitted softly. There was some knowledge of this following the people in town, and he tried to get the idea of it. Ultimately, he already picked out a gift for Leia and the person that popped up as his secret Santa. That was weird, but he did it because why not.

Moving about he glanced about. "Hey, is there someone you want to get a gift for?" Galen asked reaching out to snag her hand in his. He wasn't familiar with the Christmas thing they were celebrating, but to be fair - he didn't know about any holidays or customs of other planets. Things that Vader didn't find need to educate the killer he was training. "Honestly, I don't know what to get Barbara for a gift. I've been kicking around ideas... just nothing seems to fit right."

“Oh?” Leia smiled. Right, she couldn’t help but be curious that he’d thought of her already. “I might have found something for you too.” Though she wasn’t certain she was completely happy, yet, but for them to partake in the local traditions was pleasant, inclusive. Different from the same day to day. “Perhaps we should make a day of it then?” If they had a meal, it would hardly be extravagant, given between them, their skills were limited, but it might be nice.

“Remus and Sirius perhaps-” Leia noted thoughtfully, brow furrowing. Remus had been the first person she’d been able to speak to about her condition, and he at once, had offered her anything he could to help - potions, and offers to watch her in his wolf state, and anything at all that would make her feel as if she might be able to manage without harming others. She didn’t think Galen would be bothered by it. “He’s helped me too-” Galen was aware of is affliction, the whole town was. “He likes chocolate- perhaps we can find some fancy galactic chocolate.” Only half-joking, a faint amusement about her expression.

“It’s not always so easy to know what to get. You want it to mean something to her-” And that made it hard. He cared and it made all the difference. “Well one of the ideas might be just right?” She encouraged with warmth, if he was feeling uncertain about it all. If he wanted to share any of them, or get her thoughts, he was welcome to. “Otherwise- just about anything from a place like this is going to be a pretty big novelty for her- you know, Earth tech and all that?”

Galen nodded. "I have." Then shrugged. It was nice, and he thought that she would at least like it a little. Though, it was the first time for him to do something like this. Never being given a gift himself, he wasn't sure what gift giving was going to be like. How did you do it, or more when than how... it was still lost on him. "Um. We should." Galen whispered with a smile. "I'll come to you. Is it alright if Lucario follows. I wouldn't want him to be left alone while we're celebrating."

Remus and Sirius. Two names he knew, but people he hadn't particularly met so he wasn't sure he'd be able to help in the department of selecting a gift, but he would give himself to the cause to help her. "Chocolate would be good. I'm sure we can find something here that would be of his fancy, Leia." Especially if Remus helped Leia, he was in. "We can also find some for us too.

"I'd like her to like it." Galen acknowledged. "Also, at the same time - I know she'll enjoy anything I give her. That's the type of person she is." So Galen shrugged at it. "It makes it hard knowing that, but I'm not one to give up." Looking to her, he smirked. "But if you have an idea, hit me. I'm all ears."

Leia nodded thoughtfully, seeming to agree to what he proposed. “Alright- I’ll see if I can’t make sure there’s something for us to eat as well.” Whether she actually attempt to make it, or sneak through the doors beforehand to grab something made by someone more skilled than she was. “Of course he’s welcome to come along. But what about Frank?” She smiled as a tease, somewhat, knowing he’d likely be less than impressed. “You can’t leave him all alone either.” The bird, in reality likely wouldn’t care at all, it likely wouldn’t notice.

So, sweets were now on the list too, and she was quite alright with that. “Something for us too.” She agreed, if it was a gift giving time of year, it was likely an indulgent one too, so that was a call for chocolate. “We’ll keep an eye out chocolate.” This was encouraging, this was a purpose now, which also was a fine distraction from everything that had become rather too serious with her difficult news.

Leia wanted to help, there was a fondness to see him fret over it, to know he wanted it to mean something to her. “You know her best!” Leia chimed back quickly, elbowing him gently in the ribs, he ought to trust that. "What about something she can add to her home. Something she could grow?" A genuine offer, even if it was an uncertain one. A plant might not seem personal to some, but it was a thought, and it would be a nice something she could look on over time, and think of him.

“Oh- Nyx. I think I should get something for him too.” He’d put up with rather a lot from her, especially at her most morose. And she’d drunk a good portion of his fancier brand of Tequila, perhaps she could find him something brightly coloured, excitingly foreign looking and potent as a present.

And there it was. Their whole trip coming full circle in the direction they were going. They both had things to search for, and things they wanted to find. While mentioning the bird of his, Galen gave a sideways glance to his princess. It was a complicated relationship with the pink bird, but the main being one of those weird transposed memories as a child when he was in child form. It was a weird feeling, but ultimately he was fond of it. As annoying it might have been.

"Well, the bird can figure it's own way out of the house." Starkiller scoffed softly barely acknowledging his feels on the bird.

"Lets focus on the now and the gifts we're looking for." Galen offered with a small smile. Ultimately the trip wasn't a loss. Rocky at a point, but surely it would only strengthen them in the later. After all, they were now meeting in a number of days to exchange gifts and eat together. "Well, I'm sure with what I think I might know, and the help of you, I'll pick out the right thing for her."

Listening more to Leia he nodded. Galen remembered Nyx, especially fondly during that said time as a child. Truly, he was a nauseatingly good man, and Leia wanted to do something nice for the man. Fine. Galen would also help with him. "We have a lot to do, and not a lot of time. Let's get to it." With a nudge Starkiller took a couple more steps to quicken his pace. "Plus we should also eat. I'm starving."

Leia gave a small snort, the disdain with which Galen spoke of the flamingo would always be there, but she too had been there to meet Frank as a kid, and they had both been incredibly excited that he’d owned such a pet. She had decided that since then, the amount of loathing he had for the bird, had steadily decreased. At least, she wasn’t aware of the last time it’d been murdered.

So it appeared they were well and truly on track once more, purpose, and a sense of happiness between then, had returned too. “Mm-. It’s important that we focus.” Leia said a little pointedly, with a slight smile on her lips, this coming from the man, that had made a valiant effort to keep her from leaving that changing room, only moments ago. It amused her. “I’m sure you will, we’ve got so much to choose from- you just tell me where you want to look.”

As almost the entire town was aware of, Nyx was nauseatingly good, and also persistent, in an annoyingly helpful way. “Right.” Leia agreed with a short nod. “We are indeed limited, so we’ll have to be efficient.” And, there was one other thing that Galen then noted, which happened to be very important to a successful and productive shopping adventure; fuel. “So how about we eat first- and then we work.” She decided, tugging him to where she had thought the delicious cooking smells rose from, her nose, it seemed a little bit sharper these days.
