“Good.” Leia smiled, knowing from her own experience too, that it was taking a little extra effort to summon the will to abandon their little interlude until a somewhat more appropriate time, and place. “Besides, you never know what we might find.” There might be some exotic foods, or clothing handy for the cold weather, plus of course, some tech beyond the ordinary Earth sort.
Lead out by Galen, there was some awkward sort of attention focused on them; where the milling shop attendants were both making it clear they’d noticed the two of them slipping into the change room, and simultaneously trying to appear as if they weren’t staring. They weren’t even disheveled, so why all the attention?
Leia rolled her eyes and heaved out a sigh, trying not to let any visible embarrassment show. Likely just as well they left, before it's potentially been escalated. “Um- so why don’t we go looking for gifts? Apparently it’s an Earth custom this time of year to exchange them.” Which wasn’t unusual really, worlds all over the galaxy had different days of celebration, or ceremonies of remembrance, often gifts were a part of that. “You could get something nice for Babs if you liked?” Someone she was most thankful was in Galen’s life, she was a steadfast friend, and close enough to a near sibling, she thought.
