The Adrenaline Junkie - Octane ([info]ridetheoctrain) wrote in [info]snapthread,

Who: Octavio Silva and Klaus Hargreeves.
What: Doors?
Where: House of Doors!
When: Wednesday afternoon.
Rating: TBD.

Octane had been in this new place for ten days. He ran the place for the ten days, trying to figure out where and what to get out. There was no space port. There were no titans. There was no intergalactic governing factions. The place was the worst backwater planet ever. One bar. A coffee shop. A clothes store. The good news was the clothes shop had ugly Christmas sweaters. That was a bonus. He was all in on that. Though, that was only one issue in his life that was being fixed by a sweater. The more important one was to get into some sort of trouble. Have picked out a house finally, and claimed as his with a roughly drawn flag (it was a bed sheet) in the name of Team Octane he needed more. Needed more... something... more excitement.

THE DOORS!

Between his welcoming committee when he arrived during a snowball fight for the town, and the bow guy, and the guy defending this little quaint town from it's bleak existence, he had heard of these doors that lead them to different and new places. Possibly home? Back to his death games, that he was so fond of. Well, he wasn't sure he was fond of the games, themselves, but the rush he got while under the constant danger of death. Just like the time and his now very misplaced legs. Not particularly thinking about it, Octane rubbed the point where the bionic legs met his nubs. This was fine. This was better. He was faster, and more lethal. Locking and loading a weapon, some stim, and attaching his dialysis machine to his body ports and his belt he covered everything with a baggy hoodie. Why advertise to the new people more than he had to.

Then he was off. Out the door, and past people here and there as he made a sprint for the house away from the cluster on the edge of town. Once there, Octane wasted no time, opening and closing doors. Multiple doors, the same door, different doors. Open and close over and over. It was true. Each time it was something different seemingly. "Oi. This is incredible." The usage, and the traveling that this could easily bring. He felt the presence of another just as he was opening and closing the same door multiple times. Looking at the other man, both Octane's brows raised. "Oi, necesitas esta puerta?" There was a pause. "Am I in your way?"

Well, this man was going to be fun. Wasn't he being coy. Octane could get behind that. Being garbed in the baggy hoodie hiding his figure, he offered on pure instinct alone a little twirl. "Well, y'know, eat it up amigo. Plenty of Octane to go around." But he brought his attention to the man, with a boyish smile.

"Are you sure you can handle such.." He took a deep breath, but then popped out with. "Hardware?!" He brought up his leg pointing at it. "I'm told I am just so intimidating with such mechanical prowess." Of course he could be equally coy, but then he shimmied himself over towards the man. "Of course, some just say it's my intense and erratic personality, but I just think that I'm just so precious." With a shrug he let his attention fall on the door that his new compatriot gestured towards.

With a fake shiver, Octane opened the door. "Ohh.." He looked over the man. "Just be gentle with me." Then he went right through the door. This was going to be fun.

"Oh I'm sure there is," He agreed with a shake of his head as his new friend showed off for him just a little bit, not quite as suggestively as someone who might actually be into these things as much as someone who didn't mind a flirt now and then even if nothing ever came from it. Klaus was good with that.

He just watched with a smirk on his face when Octane pointed out his leg, "Is that what's considered intimidating around these parts?" He wondered, after you saw your brother with a gorilla body well, things like this weren't all that strange. "Maybe you've just never managed to meet someone on the same wavelength as you before." He suggested, his own coy reply.

But it looked like they were doing this, the door pulled open and Octane went through without even a backward glance at whatever might be on the other side. Klaus of course, not to be out done followed right after him, his bag from Bill in his back pocket and of course his list of things to look out for him in his pocket on his phone, ready to see what they might find here.

"Well here we are, no prep at all - what do you think?" Klaus asked him, looking around and taking in the world around them.

Octane just didn't worry himself about the little details of what was to come from flirting and what wasn't to come from flirting. He was into a person for who they managed to be or not be. Generally, anatomy didn't matter as much as soul.

Well, soul and looks. Okay - the soul, looks, and personality. It didn't matter how pretty that rock was, he still needed it to have a fun conversation back.

The man wasn't intimidated by his legs, and that was also a bonus. It wasn't normal, but who knew what was or wasn't normal where this man was from. "Well, friend, what is your wavelength?" Stepping through, landed them right on soft snow again. Middle of a park? Spanning trees? People were walking hand and hand, arm and arm. In the distance, Octane could hear the faint sound of engines and honking. Looking up, through the snow that was coming down he could see tall expansive buildings.

Looking at the man, Octane tilted his head. "No prep? You're mistaken, I'm always prepared." He offered a knowing smile. "Though, I don't think this is like anywhere I've been before..."

"No wavelength really, more just a general state of mind." Klaus decided when he thought about it wavelengths weren't really his thing. He was just sort of a free spirit, flitting from here to there any where in between having a good time and then moving on to something new. The hows and whys and whens weren't all that important to him really. As long as he enjoyed the journey, and even then that could veer off unexpectedly too.

As for this place though, well this was interesting.

It was a little like the town and yet different too, a town instead of the sort of village they were currently residing in. It looked like a resort town and Klaus shrugged a little at the possibilities they could probably find something interesting to do here.

"Well I do like a man who is prepared." He shot back with a grin.

"Never been skiing before?" He guessed, not that he had either, Reginald Hargreeves was not a family trips kind of man, and Klaus on his own was not a skiing kind of man. So this was new to him too, but he could get into the swing of it, and he nodded toward a shop, "Let's see if we can't see our way to blending with the locals a bit more." He suggested, at the very least he could pick some interesting finds for Ben and Diego while he pretended like he was the type to ever blend at all.

A quick moment to ponder. "I generally am in a state of mind, that we should just live our lives to the fullest." Giving a thumbs up he moved from that with that thought to the next and the next. This was where him and Klaus were similar creatures to an extent. All Octane was doing was shifting one deadly stunt to the next. The next thing that gave that adrenaline high he was seeking. Octavio was just. Free.

Regarding the place they had landed, well this was as interesting as anything else. The buildings were elaborate, and people were coming in and out with skis and snowboards. Now, this was something he could easily get behind.

With a glance to, who was this he was with. "Skiing. Snowboarding. Skydiving. Live active fighting." Octane shrugged. "They all are the same in the bases that they're exciting," He pointed. "Person." There was a coy grin. "Amigo, I don't think you've given me a name." But just as quick as he thought to that, he was on to the newer and shinier topics.

"Well, lets find you some skis, and get your sweet ass up on a hill!" Octane pronounced. Looking about he followed the line of sight and with a hop, skip, and a jump - Octane fell in stride with Klaus towards the shop. "Hm. I wonder what they have. Since coming to your world I haven't had a chance to get too much of things.."

"Not sure I'd class all those things in the same arena, but sure why not." Klaus never had been one for fighting, even with the Umbrella Academy. He liked the attention at the end, when he could play hero like what he could do had helped at all. But beyond that? Well he'd stick with things like skiing and snowboarding and skydiving. Well he wouldn't do those either, but that wasn't the point. He'd do those before he started fighting again if he didn't have to.

"Person." He corrected himself, easily when his new friend pointed that out.

"Klaus," he introduced himself as they took in the sights, all the things this place had on offer. "Oh no, no you are operating under the assumption that I do things like skiing, I'm more one of those wear a gaudy piece of fur and stand around a fire with a drink in my hand while I wait for some old bachelor to come and try and make me his sugar baby." He explained as they walked together toward the shop, because maybe he could find something that would help him in that direction, and if not well he thought he could find something interesting. "No? Well it's a good thing you're here with me today, this is what I do." He explained.

Well, to be fair, most people didn't quite find competing in the Apex Games in their cup of tea. For Octane, it was his next ultimate rush. Really, live combat was simply exhilarating. Feeling the singe of live ammunition disintegrate against his shielding, oof, mind blowing.

Following along with Klaus, he nodded. "Well.." He frowned. That was boring, but different men, different shakes. Who was he to really judge what his fun was. "Well, I guess we have to find you a ridiculous coat and me a snowboard that will fit my feet." He looked down at his legs. That might be difficult, but he'd find a way to do something stupid on a something along those lines. Then his head snapped up to Klaus.

"This is what you do?! You dress men in clothes?" Of course, he knew it wasn't the thing in actuality, but it made him smirk. "Well, dress me how you wish then. I just don't do tutus."

Klaus wasn't stupid, for all that he pretended to be, he knew when his idea of a good time wasn't shared, not that it ever stopped him from enjoying himself in the way he liked best of course. But despite his new friend's obvious distaste for his style of good time he seemed to be eager to help him figure out something, and that counted for a lot.

"Well I think I know just the sort of place that can help us out." He grinned nodding up toward the lodge, linking his arm with Octane's because why not as he lead the way up toward the lodge where they would certainly find both horribly gaudy fashion and any kind of snow gear imaginable, in a place like this? There was no doubt at all that they would find plenty to keep themselves busy with even if it wasn't exactly what either one of them had pictured.

Klaus laughed, patting Octane's arm and nodded, "I'll be honest, my specialty is undressing men, but I have been known to give a make over or two in my time." He assured him with an easy smirk of his own, before he scoffed, "A tutu, I can't believe you think that's fashion. I would never." He shook his head as they made their way inside and in the direction of what looked like some high end boutique shops, rife for their perusal.

This is where a bond ship was born. Just because there was different tastes, didn't mean there wasn't something to be shared. In fact, those different tastes were the things that lead to greatness. Bacon and doughnuts. Surface level unimaginable, but when you got them together. Boom! Mind blown. Klaus was his bacon doughnut.

Octane immediately started bouncing. Now this was what he was in on. Turning he looked right towards the lodge. "Well, lets go!" Feeling the arm link with his, Octavio immediately looked right at the display. Something he wasn't quite sure how to react. Looking up to Klaus, back to their arms, back to Klaus.. Octane shrugged. Fuck it. He liked Klaus enough as it stood.

Then the notion. Octavio gasped loudly. "Klaus!" He said probably to loudly. "How dare you." Turning his nose up some, he smirked. "I'm a lady. I undress on the second date." With a glance, he would argue, despite his expressing against the tutu. "Whoa now. A tutu has it's place. Normally for the clinically insane, but it holds a place." Octane assured Klaus. "And I assure you, I don't need such." Despite the jury being out on how sane, Octane actually was.

In Klaus' experience you could tell a lot about a person, by the way they reacted to what was essentially innocent touching. Like his brother for example, Diego - if he'd linked his arm with Diego, he'd get a grumble and maybe even shoved off depending on the time of day and his brother's mood. But if it was Ben, well Ben would be only too happy and maybe even give Klaus a pat for his trouble. So he just waited to see how Octane would react to this as well and in the end it turned out just fine.

So Klaus moved Octane into the good for a flirt category, and walked with him up toward the lodge, chuckling at the scandalized sound of Octane's suggestion that he wouldn't be undressing him, at least not yet. "So we're counting this as our first date then?" He teased with a smirk of his own, "Good to know, I'll rearrange my plans so I'm ready for next time."

"A tutu may have it's place, but it is not fashion." Klaus reminded Octane, that was the important thing to remember here, and as far as Klaus was concerned, he wanted fashion - sure he might have his own idea about what exactly was fashion, but that was not it as far as he was concerned and at the moment his concerns were all that really mattered. "No, today we are after, some snow gear for you, I'm thinking blues," He decided giving Octane another look, "And of course the coat for me."

Flirting was just half the fun with meeting people. Regardless of sexuality. Octane understood the whole different tastes, different shakes deal - but it wasn't anything really that effected him. Octavio sort of just rolled with it. After all, he was third machine and some people were turned off by that. Some, not Klaus, which made Klaus fall in people that Octane wouldn't mind hanging around.

Also, Klaus was fun.

"Well, wouldn't you?" Octavio suggested. "You see, you're taking pretty ole me out shopping. You're going to buy me all sorts of things," Octane thought about it a little. "I'm just going to be a tease, in hopes that you'll take me out again..." There was a shrug. "But then you're never going to call me." He glanced. "I'll take a hit to my self esteem, and become a stripper." This whole fantasy of his taking form. "It'll be a good time, fun for the entire family." Octane chuckled.

There was a nod. "You're saying my sense of fashion is a disaster?" Octane inquired, despite his already opposed tutu desires. "Well, then you'll just have to make all the decisions for me." He declared pulling on Klaus' arm to bring him in closer. "This is going to be great." Octavio decided. "We're going to have so much fun today and," Blue? Looking to Klaus he nodded. "I'll wear blues. Reds. Greens. Nothing." He reminded softly with a coy smile.

"You should get a big coat. Something with fur and oversized."

"I think if either one of us is going to get into stripping," Klaus said giving Octane a once over, "It's going to be me, my friend." Klaus practically dance around like one already, it wouldn't be that big of a stretch, fantasy or not. And well, Klaus already believed he'd make for a great one, Octane - well he might be okay for a flirt but Klaus doubted he had the moves to pull off stripping the way it needed to be done. "Not sure you'd be doing it right if it was fun for the whole family." He added with a smirk, giving Octane a hip check for good measure. "So I guess that means you better call me for that second date or run the risk of knowing you're responsible for my spiral into the dark underground world of male stripping."

He grinned, pleased with his adjustment of the fantasy, making it fit that much better with reality as he saw it. As for their current reality well-.

"I wouldn't say disaster, but in need of some help?" Klaus allowed with a lift of his shoulders. "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing, I won't steer you wrong." He promised as they began to wander through some of the shops inside the lodge, that was the nice thing about places like this, they put everything together in one place, it made it so much easier to just wander and find what you wanted. And what he wanted was something just like this - he paused in front of a mannequin nodding at what he saw, a ski jacket, in blue just like he's said, with a large hood and lined in blue fur, it'd be fitted nicely too when Octane got it on.

"Oh yes, this is exactly what I was thinking," Just because his new friend wasn't interested in tempting the fabulously rich didn't mean he couldn't look great too. "Now let's see about getting you into one of these, and maybe some of these other pieces." He decided gathering up bits and pieces shoving them at Octane to try on.

Octane gasped. "How dare you, dash my stripper dreams!" Of course he was kidding, but he could be a stripper and a damn good stripper if he wanted! There was the fact that a very fun part of Octane would have enjoyed Klaus as a stripper. He was fun to look at. "The whole family can enjoy a stripper." Octavio defended. "I mean, the family is just a little messed up, and a little off... but it's still a family and who are we to judge what they enjoy!" He laughed some at the nonsense he was spewing. "Well, then. To save you Klaus, I will have to be the hero and call and make sure we go on that second date." It was a sacrifice he was more than willing to make.

Alright, so he was a disaster and Klaus was just to good to tell him such. But he'd allow the man to dress him. Walking around, he watched people, and ignored the ones who were caught up staring at his legs. Guess it wasn't common place here, but when Klaus was starting to grab things for him to wear starting with the blue coat, Octavio wrapped himself in it and did a little spin in it. "Oh, Klaus." He purred. "It's beautiful and perfect!" He'd play up the role a bit. Then facing Klaus he pulled it wide open at the other man.

"Does it make me look thin?" Of course he was still in the ridiculously baggy hoodie at this point, but this was the fun of it.

Then the piles of clothes were being tossed at Octane. "Alright!" Now he was getting excited. Looking around for a person working the boutique store. "Oi! We need a dressing room por favor!" Looking back to Klaus, he smirked. "You sit back, and I'll try em on!" And then Octane was off into a changing room to come in and out of the little closet trying anything Klaus gave him to try on.
