Who: All the town kids who want in
What: Hot Tub Party
Where: Tony's house
When: Today

This place was great, his dad wasn't around and he didn't have classes or tutors or anything to bother him. And he had a house full of bots and his pokemon, it was quite possibly the coolest place he'd ever been and people were coming over, it was gonna be a party!

Sure he didn't do much in the way of planning but he had his fridge full of cheese and there were drinks everywhere and Dum-E would totally make juice if people wanted it, it seemed to be about all he could do but Tony loved him and he was glad to have him there.

And well .... it was gonna be cool, he'd never had a party before, not with kids his own age so he was ready and he was antsy kind of pacing a little bit while he waited for people to show up. And just when he thought he had it all ready Tony realized there was one thing left he needed and quickly found a piece of paper and some tape scribbling a hasty note and taping it outside on his door.

Come on in! It's party time.
No adults allowed!!!

There was a party on. Or, whatever passed for a party on Midgard or whatever place this was anyway. All Loki really knew was that it wasn’t Asgard, and that the party was rather lacking in a great hall. And there wasn’t a band. Or big plates of food anywhere.

Not that he really cared about those things. Loki’d always been a bit pickier than most. But Thor probably cared. Which meant that Loki did too, but in a different and in relation to sort of way. He shouldn’t have though, because Loki was still rather angry about Thor eating all the snack food and then gloating about it.

In fact, just to prove he was still sore, he was glaring at the back of his older brother’s head, not even bothering to look around as he followed him into house of Stark.

Okay so maybe Tony wasn't the best at party planning, but the thing was he hadn't had a lot of time to plan it and he didn't really have a lot of resources available to him to make it happen, but he thought that the music was good and there was a hot tub on the roof so what more did they need really?

Whatever the point was he was having fun so far, he'd been saying an overly enthusiastic hello to everyone he saw and making sure they knew that this was his house and that the bots were his and all of this was so cool, right? Yeah it was cool, Tony didn't need the other kids to tell him so... he just kind of wanted them to was all.

So when he saw one of them kind of on his own, glaring at someone else he decided he'd better step up. "If you want I can have Dum-E spill a drink on him." Tony offered because that was what you did right? If you were making friends you did things for them first. "He does it plenty already it'd be easy to make it happen on someone in particular. I'm Tony."

Loki was maybe a little surprised when he realized that someone was talking to him. He'd been so busy glaring at the back of Thor's stupid head that he'd sort of forgot there were other people around. Even though they were at a party. And people came to parties. That's just how they worked. Obviously Loki knew that. As a prince of Asgard, he'd attended a great many parties. None of them were like this, though.

Still. The boy talking to him was clearly the boy who made the invitation and owned the house so it was best to not tell him that it wasn't the best party he'd ever been to.

Although it had potential. "Could you do that?" He asked, wonder and a little bit of mischief in his eyes as he turned to look at Tony properly. It'd be so much funnier if a trick got played on Thor and he couldn't immediately blame Loki for it. "I'm Loki."

"Yeah!" Tony agreed eagerly, "I made him, he'll do it if I ask." Tony assured him, though he wasn't entirely sure that Dum-E would, he might though, he'd certainly try. And when that happened Tony felt pretty good that it would end with a drink spilled on the right person. And the boy he'd made the suggestion to dropped his glare for a moment which felt like a special kind of victory as well.

"Cool," He'd never met anyone with a name like Loki, but he decided he liked it, and Loki too for that matter. It was a little overwhelming if he was being honest, being at a party with this many kids so close to his age, most of the parties he went to were just his dad's boring friends or people he worked with and he just got trotted out for a few minutes to smile and shake hands before he was put to bed.

"Did he do something mean?" He asked, wondering what the other boy had done to earn Loki's ire.

Thor loved parties. Revels and merriment were plentiful at the parties on Asgard. Food was always bountiful and drinks as well. Thor wasn't really supposed to take part in the consuming of libations but he usually did it anyway. Just a few sips because Heimdall could always see everything. Still. Parties were fun and it meant he could just be silly and loud and while that was kind of a given on any day, it was celebrated during parties. Well, not so much the silly part. His father would get on him about that if he carried on too much, but he was almost always loud.

This party -- was not an Asgardian party. There weren't fountains of beverages in majestic display and there wasn't a bevy of food options to choose from. Thor loved a good block of cheese and while not in fountain form there were some drinks spread out so that was good. He didn't recognize a lot of what he saw. Come to think of it he still really didn't know what was going on here, how he and Loki got here, or anything of the sort. But he just figured it was some kind of test from the All Father and was running with it.

He could feel the dagger-like glaring going on from behind him so he looked back over his shoulder and gave a shit-eating-grin. "Indulge in the merriment, brother! This is a celebration!"

No, neither of them were supposed to take part in the drinking, but they'd both stolen sips here and there at the parties, and Loki was awfully good at giving Frigga pleading looks in order to get parentally sanctioned sips of mead every now and again. This was different though. They could just have it if they wanted it and it made Loki wonder if it was even worth it then. All the fun was gone if he didn't have to be sneaky about it.

He supposed he'd just see what Thor was going to do. Not that he cared about Thor's opinion. He was just curious, was all.

"How can I celebrate?" He asked Thor, eyebrows dipping down in a frown that might have been dangerous if it wasn't coming from a child. And might still have been dangerous, yet. "If all I'm going to worry about is you eating all the food?"

Thor could agree with his brother that when you took the sneak factor out of things it could take the fun out of it. He wasn't nearly as sneaky as his brother but Thor was often trying to pull one over on people, especially Loki. That was why he'd taken all the snacks. He hadn't actually eaten all of them. He just so rarely was able to fool Loki that he was really gloating about actually making his brother believe he'd done it. Loki was so cross with him, and it was great because it meant he'd pay attention to him. Even if it meant sharp objects. Thor loved attention, and Loki's was his favorite. Even more than attention from their father.

Loki's frowns were always a little dangerous. Enough that it made Thor realize he had to be prepared for some kind of retaliation. But again, even that was attention and he thrived on it. "You're always worrying too much. Just have fun, Loki!" Thor spun around and moved closer to him. "We can still have fun together, right? We don't need the food right now. There's food right here. You can take your fill of it, and there will still be more. Don't be cross. You'll ruin your time."

A couple of the other kids were having a party, at least that's what she'd heard. And none of the weird adults were allowed, some of the were okay - well Tony, Tony was okay. She wasn't sure how she felt about the rest of them though. So a party seemed like the perfect excuse to see who else was here, maybe some of the other girls would be here, or maybe not. She didn't know.

But she'd never been to a real party before, so she was kind of excited to see what it would be like. And she heard there was a hot tub so she wanted to see that too. And maybe there would be not tampered with snacks that she could enjoy.

There were a lot of variables really, but Natasha wanted to go, so she did. Though she'd told Tony before she left that she was leaving, she didn't want him to worry - but he had said she could do whatever she wanted. So that made it okay. The music was a little loud, and there were a lot of boys (Natasha wasn't sure she was thrilled about that), but a robot gave her juice so she was having a nice time, not really dancing as much as she was swaying just a little to the music while she decided what she would do next.

Natasha lived at his house, his house with Tony and Gwen and Natasha. When Steve looked at her sometimes he felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest. It was a strange feeling, not like in his stomach like they sometimes were. But like he felt after seeing him Mom after she'd worked for days and days. So seeing her standing there, Steve couldn't let her just sway on her own.

"Hi Natasha!" He said all smiles as he bounded up to her. Well all smiles and a wheeze, because he was Little Stevie Rogers after all and he crammed his inhaler in his mouth to take a puff.

"I'm not a real good dancer but I'd sure like to try, if you wanted to, to maybe dance with me," he said as he looked around. No one was dancing, but Steve didn't ever really care about everyone else.

Steve was nice, Natasha liked him. She'd see the way he was with Gwen back at the house, and now here he was all smiles and happy, she liked seeing him happy, it set a part of her at ease to know he was happy, like things were right when he was happy. And he was smiling at her and that was nice too, she decided.

"Steve." She smiled a little shy but pleased that he'd approached her. But she wasn't embarrassed, as much as she was just a little bit unsure of what exactly she felt about Steve. He was familiar and nice, and he smiled at her, no one did that really. She liked him.

"Yeah?" She asked with a sudden excitement at the idea of being able to really dance, maybe no one else was dancing but she didn't really care of people were dancing too as long as she got to do it. Natasha loved dancing, she was good at it, and no one had to teach her that, she'd always been good at it. "Yes!" She paused, hesitant for just a moment, not quite embarrassed but toeing the line of it, "I mean, if you want. I'd like that."

Steve didn't think anyone would ever want to dance with him back home. The girls liked Bucky, they chased him around and around and Steve, well he thought they weren't so great anyway. They were mean and made fun of him when they were in a group even if alone sometimes they were swell. But not as swell as Natasha. She was beautiful with red hair like the best candies and maybe he loved her. Not like how he loved Bucky, but maybe like loveloved her.

"Yeah!" He replied eagerly before he took one last puff on his inhaler and crammed it back into his pocket, practically tripping over himself to offer her his hand. Steve wasn't a good dancer, but he'd watched a lot, when ever he could and hoped one day maybe someone might want to dance with him.

They'd done a lesson once at school, he'd stepped on the girl's foot and she'd been real sore about it after. So he was going to be careful not to do it again. The music wasn't right for dancing, but Steve wasn't very good at following the rhythm anyway as he did a simple box step.

Because Bucky was here, Clint was here too -- not like he needed to follow the other boy around, but he kind of wanted to so that made it different and fine, he figured. He hadn't been to this sort of party before -- mostly only the birthday kinds. Or, sometimes when Barney was feeling bored, he'd sneak them into the Chuck E Cheese in town and they'd pretend to be friends with the kids who were having parties in order to get free pizza and cake.

This was different though. There were a LOT of kids and NO adults which meant it was pretty cool. But it was also kind of loud. A nice guy who called himself magic had shrunk down some purple hearing aids for him and they worked really well! Except it was still like -- trying to hear twenty different things at once, all at the same volume and Clint wasn't so sure he liked it because he kinda felt like his head was being squished in with all the noises, especially since he'd spent the last few days hearing pretty much nothing at all.

He didn't wanna be the whiny little kid that made Bucky leave with him because he had a headache though, so he was just gonna try and ignore it for a while. The best way to do that was to find a distraction -- and he found on in a red-headed girl that was standing by herself. She looked so familiar that he had to wander over to her. Just had to. "Hi," he said, wiggling his fingers in a greeting.

"Hi," Natasha returned the greeting, she hadn't been totally sold on the whole party thing at first, but the longer she was here the more fun she was having. She'd never been to anything like this and with so many kids around, she was glad Tony had told her she could do whatever she wanted because this wasn't really something she'd have let herself do normally, but with permission she was happy to be here.

"I'm Natasha," She introduced herself because that seemed important, even though he seemed kind of maybe familiar? But she wasn't sure. Maybe it was in the same sort of way that Steve was familiar too, like he was someone that she knew and maybe cared about and liked having nearby.

"Are you having fun?" She asked him. "I've never been to a party like this." Not with so many kids and everyone seeming like they were having a good time, it was strange but also fun in a good way.

Claire was probably a bit older than a lot of the kids there, but a party was a party and she didn't want to miss out. Besides Peter was going and if Peter was going she wasn't about to stay home alone. Some kids seemed to have adults with them, but they were just them and lucky Claire was very responsible and she could make dinner and do laundry and everything. She didn't need the oversharing man and his meals, nope.

As usual she felt like she stuck out, the other girls were straight up and down and Claire had curves already. All the clothes in her wardrobe were a bit big and revealing so she was wearing some jeans that had been shrunk down for her and one of Peter's tshirts which hadn't been, tied in a knot at the bottom so it wasn't so much like a dress.

Someone had found beers and Claire held one, no stranger to the taste as she took a drink. Gross, but also, beer. So, she'd take gross. When he walked in it was like the music volume dropped, everyone stopped talking. But it didn't and they didn't, it was just in her head. But John was kind of dreamy and Claire was just really, really glad to see him.

Yeah, walking into a room full of young kids eating cheese and drinking juice was kind of a weird sort of way to enter a party. Not that all the kids were super young, or even drinking juice but -- well. Constantine felt a little bit like he was at the cut off age, here. Like maybe he should have counted as an adult, even if he was only sixteen.

But here was here anyway and there was liquor and so he mixed some in with juice because he wasn't about to advertise a bunch of bad habits to kids -- although he wasn't about to stop them if they decided to do the same thing or whatever else it was they wanted to get up to.

He loosened his already too loose tie and turned to inspect stuff a bit more (this was a pretty wicked house, and it wasn't like John didn't like cheese) but sort of lost his train of thought when he spotted her.

A girl. About his age. Who was staring at him. And Christ Almighty, if she wasn't hot. And familiar. More familiar than the rest of these little party goers, anyway? He smiled in a way that he thought was quite smooth and offered her a little nod before making his way over. "Having a good time?"

Claire liked kids well enough, she looked after her neighbours sometimes when their mom worked late, fed them mac and cheese while they all watched TV. But everyone was kind of young, well not everyone but lots of them, so dreamy sixteen year old boys were going to get her attention. Especially because she just knew she recognised him.

He smiled and she started penning the entry she'd put in her diary later right then and there. Hastening to craft some delicious teenage poetry before he got to her. "Yeah," she said with a little shrug as she lifted the beer to take a sip. "I mean," she gestured to everything going on and smiled. "Not exactly the kind of party I usually go to." Because if she was going to sneak out it would be because there was someone's parents away and the police would probably get called about it.

"I'm so glad you're here," Claire blurted out, almost like she hadn't meant to. But it was true and she blushed about it.

Parties weren't out of the norm for Bucky. He got invited to parties quite often by his classmates at school. Birthday parties, holiday parties, no-reason parties. Usually he ended up surrounded by a group of girls who liked to giggle in his ear and talk about stuff he didn't really care about for a while when all Bucky was trying to do was get some damn soda for himself and Steve. Yes Steve, because he would always drag his best friend along whether he was invited or not (unless Steve was sick, in which case Bucky wouldn't go either and they'd just stay at Steve's and listen to the radio).

This was a party unlike any he'd ever seen before though. No grown-ups, for one thing. And the other was that he had no idea what bots were but he was quickly coming to learn and it was really swell. Tony was kinda the bees knees, really. Definitely a kid who would've probably been a rival of his in their class back home. But here, he was just someone Bucky wanted to be friends with.

He'd come with Steve, but Steve was talking to a red headed dame who -- actually, when Bucky looked at her she really looked familiar to him, too. Like really fucking familiar. And that was weird. Almost as weird as Steve voluntarily talking to a dame without Bucky having to push him into it.

Bucky turned to grab himself one of the drinks that were being offered, and thought maybe he'd try to get a peek at that hot pool thing Tony had been talking about.

"I don't think you're allowed to have any of that." The sentence came from Bucky's left, but it wasn't directed at Bucky. It'd come from Peter Quill -- who was disappointed to see that his new and very green friend Gamora wasn't at this party -- but who had come with a backup plan in terms of a friend anyway. On top of the table of drinks, his little Cubone had climbed up and was now poking at bottles, glass and plastic, with a bone.

Cubone was the absolute best but he was kind of a troublemaker. "Tell him," he said to the boy next to him, eyes big and green and a little pleading. "He's not allowed to have drinks like that, because he's only little." Peter was also rather only little, but he was sort of considering trying something on the table out, if only because it was there and he was curious.

Bucky hadn't been sure what he'd get into at this party. He'd never been to one without any kind of adult chaperone, but he thought it was pretty great that those kinds of parties existed. Because sometimes grown-ups were really pretty lame and put a damper on the fun. Or they would try to insert themselves into the fun and that just made everything super awkward. The only thing about this part was, he didn't really know anyone? But then he also felt like he knew everyone. It was super weird but he was still glad to be there.

"Huh? Who?" He looked around and then saw some sort of creature on the table poking at things with -- was that a bone? Okay. That was weird. It wasn't that he thought the kid next to him was weird or even that the creature itself was weird. The whole setting was. Poking a drink with a bone wasn't something you saw everyday.

"Oh, yeah, you should probably hold off of that little fella," he said. "But we can pr'olly find something for you." He shifted his gaze to the boy next to him. "What's his name? Do you know what he can have to eat and drink? I'd hate to just have him have to look at everything and not have any. Also what is he? I've never seen anything like that."

If Eddie were ever to be invited to a party back in Derry, his mother definitely wouldn't let him go. It probably wouldn't stop him because his best friend was Richie and Richie would just encourage him to sneak out. Luckily for Sonia Kaspbrak, however, Eddie and his friends were losers. They were the kids that never got invited to anything, the ones who seemed to draw the attention of every bully and the ire of every one of the popular kids just for existing. He’d never been to a party back home and he probably never would but that didn’t matter. Those parties didn’t have a hot tub or bots. They definitely didn’t have whatever adorable thing Gerty was. He still wasn’t sure what a Pokemon was, but she was great and he wanted one too.

Tearing himself away from watching Gerty he, finally, made it out to where the actual party was. There were a lot of other kids, but he didn’t really know any of them. Maybe he’d talked to a few of them before the party but never in person. They were all basically strangers. He did, however, happen to notice that the redhead who wasn’t Beverly, scared him, and knew way too many forms of self defense was talking to a boy who had an inhaler of his own. Which meant he could have one, damnit. His was probably lying somewhere on the fucking bed and Richie just didn’t even bother looking for it.

Where was Richie anyway? Eddie frowned as he scanned the crowd looking for a flash of large glasses. Maybe he’d been annoyed at the other earlier but he was over that now. Now he just missed Richie and standing alone at a party surrounded by a bunch of kids he didn’t know? Yeah, that was the worst.

Parties weren't really things that the Loser's club got up to much -- Richie'd been to one or two, but they were usually the sort of affairs that had lots of parents standing around. Family barbecues, little kid birthday parties, and Stan's Bar Mitzvah that only he'd gone to because they whole group had been having a fight. They'd missed out there-- Stan's speech had been bang up and badass.

But none of the parties he'd ever been to had been like this. Zero adult supervision meant he was going to make some pretty terrible life choices and he was damn well looking forward to it. He'd never been somewhere where there was just... liquor sitting there for the taking before.

So he took. He mixed himself a drink the way that he'd seen done on tv before and it tasted a little like burning and juice mixed together which didn't seem great, but it was what it was, and he had it now so there was no turning back.

He'd also -- well. He'd found a tie and had it knotted haphazardly around his neck, having done his best at remembering how to do it after only having had to do it once or twice before -- and mostly his mom had done it. But it was there, and he'd even combed his hair properly, so he was well on his way to being the most romantic motherfucker in the room.

Which was apparently a concern today, even though he didn't exactly know why, it felt really important. "Hey, Eds," he said, coming up from behind to stand beside him. Eddie'd been pissed with him earlier for god knew what, but maybe the tie and hair combo would win him some forgiveness points. "Fancy meeting you here."

And there he was. Appearing out of nowhere as if he'd been conjured into existence by Eddie's increasing feelings of isolation... or like he'd just been over by one of the tables. The drink table, by the looks of it. One of those places he hadn't actually gone over by because he was already a Loser at a party. He didn't also want to be the weirdo studying ingredients lists for allergens.

He was happy to see Richie, he really was. He was that rare over the moon sort of happiness he only seemed to be around his best friend but he couldn't actually let the other know that. That felt entirely like admitting to something too big and too scary to even think about. He placed his hands on his hips, deciding that it was best to act like he was still annoyed. "I-" He stopped, words dying on his tongue as he turned and actually looked at the other.

His hair was different. Neater. Brushed down in that way he'd only ever seen it in an valiant initial effort for class picture day. It never lasted. Mostly because Richie hated it. Beyond that, however, he was also wearing a tie. It wasn't actually tied correctly but the effort was clearly there and, for some reason, that seemed to matter. A lot. "Where did you get a tie from?" He asked, cheeks heating up a little as he reached out to try and fix the tie. He wasn't that great at it either and he really couldn't look the other in the eyes when he was doing it but the smile was there. Bright and warm and maybe just a little shy.

His hair was kind of adorable like that but it didn't look right. Reaching up Eddie was brave enough to slip his fingers into his best friend's hair and disorder it gently. "You didn't have to do that." And maybe he was reading too much into this. Maybe this wasn't for him at all. Maybe this was all for the party and for the benefit of everyone else who wasn't Eddie Kaspbrak and who could take his place.

"I like you." The words felt too big but they were true.

Leia had been to parties before - but not really the sort she'd truly enjoyed. There were mostly adults in attendance, and the only kids her age tended to be the children of fellow senators, nobles or influential people across the galaxy. All they wanted to do was talk about were the power their parents had, or their wealth or various dull achievements. None of it was of any interest to Leia. There were times she wondered how her parents justified such lavish occasions when so much of the galaxy was troubled, or went without.

When she caught word of a kids only party, she was keen to check it out, everyone the young Princess had met so far had been a lot of fun, and not at all like the snooty rich kids she'd only ever been allowed to meet. These kids liked to have fun, and she wanted to get to know any of them better. Maybe someone would want to go exploring beyond the doors with her? She didn't really understand what was there, but it all sounded exciting.

With a cup filled with juice in hand Leia sipped and walked through, taking another big gulp as she nearly managed to get the juice down her front, not paying enough attention. She was scanning those gathered, looking for someone she might engage in conversation, already a bop in her step as she sort of dance-walked about, her eyes wide and expression excited with a beaming smile.

He'd come to the party with Claire, but in the end thought that maybe it'd be okay if they kind of wandered around a little bit and enjoyed themselves while they were there just to kind of meet some of the other kids.

He was a little bit older than a lot of them, but they seemed to be having fun and there weren't any adults around so really he thought everything was probably gonna be fun regardless of whether or not most of them were younger than he was. He'd just grabbed a juice because well.... he'd seen some other drinks but all he could think of was the look he'd get from Aunt May if she found out, so he was sticking with juice for now.

"Hi!" He grinned at a girl who looked like she was just kind of taking it all in since she'd arrived without clumping up the way some of the other kids did. "You having fun?"

Already she was completely certain this party was better than any she'd been to. Leia had started just being an observer, not so much out of a want to isolate herself, just she wondered how best to start talking to those she didn't know, and who she ought to try talking with - but as a boy who didn't look so much older approached, she gave him a broad smile, clearly pleased for the company.

"Hi!" she called back, before enthusiastically nodding. "Yeah! It's great- it's not really like any party I've been to before." She admitted, taking a glance at those thoroughly enjoying themselves, grin widening all the more. "Most of them were hosted by my parents-" She made a slight face as if to communicate how completely lame and boring that was, she'd never been to a party that refused, adults! "What do you think of it?" she asked in return.
