Summary: When Sirius returns from beyond the Veil with knowledge of Voldemort's Horcruxes, he takes on the task of finding and destroying them. Somewhere along the way he finds an unexpected ally and perhaps something more. (AU from the end of OotP, takes place during HBP period)

Author Notes: 7types, you said that you'd like to see Severus and Sirius resolve their fraught history. I believe they've managed that here, even if it took them 26K words to do so!

Oh, boy. Yeeaaah, this is pretty much the latest reply to a comment pretty much EVAR. Er, I'm trying to get caught up?? ::headdesk:: Well, even though it's ridiculously late, I wanted to let you know that I appreciated your comment.

I figured that death might be exactly what Sirius needed to make him a bit more stable and mature. But he'll still always be Sirius -- reckless, roguish Gryffindor that he is. ;D And you know that if he found out about Dumbledore sending Harry after Horcruxes, he'd throw an absolute fit. LOL

I do adore this pairing, but it does take some building to make it work. So I'm thrilled that you thought it did work here. :) Thanks again!
