Snapedom

Hi all! 

My thesis is nearly finished (whee!) so I actually might play a more active role in discussions on the group soon (beware! *grin*). In the mean time I will gladly rec this fic I managed to stumble over. It's 'Death Eater No More' by notwolf.
It's basically 'what happened to Snape and the Malfoys (and to a lesser extent the Lestrange brothers and a host of other characters) after DH. I love it because it stays very in character and yet the characters are (mostly) sympathetic without trying to whitewash their lesser traits.
I adore Severus in this fic! He's his snarky, ascerbic, protective-of-the-students, self. Go read it, and don't be alarmed to find, in the first few chapters, that Snape has more family than canon stated; what I love about this fic is how it shows the characters as *connected* people. They didn't drop out of the air fully clothed, but have family and relationships and that just because Harry didn't know about them doesn't mean they weren't there...
