Snape's Wand

We don't know anything about Snape's wand. What sort of wood? The core and length? For info on known wands for comparison, here is a link to the Lexicon wand page.
  • this is where we pretend i didn't just comment with a rp journal

I agree with this. The wand is based around the wizard's abilities. Ron's first wand is not as good a fit for him as his second one, which is more suited to his magic. I think it's that each person's magic is different, they will be talented more at certain kinds of magic than others, and the wand is a means of focus - the kind of wood/core that is most effective will be that which their personal magic is most suited to. The sorting hat would take into account his more refined desires, like the desire to be in Slytherin. The wands don't function in the same way, Harry isn't asked what kind of things he wants for himself or the kind of magic he wants to excel at, the wand simply shows that it is very reactive to him. I don't think that any of Severus' opinion would be a deciding factor in the wand, it is chosen purely on physical/magical reactivity.
