bethbethbeth @ 10:22 am: Challenge #430: "Snape in Azkaban"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #430: "Snape in Azkaban" This week's challenge asks you to imagine a different ending for Deathly Hallows, i.e., one in which Snape's fate involves at least some time in Azkaban. For the soft-hearted among you, this needn't mean that Snape is actually sentenced; he could be, you know...visiting somebody. :)

bethbethbeth @ 11:10 am: Challenge #429: "Snape is Harry's Father!!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #429: "Snape is Harry's Father!!" When you type "Snape is..." into google search, the first thing that comes up is "...Harry's father." So! This week's challenge is to write a drabble in which Snape is really Harry's father or Snape is Harry's metaphoric father (or, you know, maybe Snape likes saying to Harry: "Who's your daddy?" *g*)

bethbethbeth @ 09:47 am: Challenge #428: "April Fool's Day!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #428: "April Fool's Day!" Today being April 1st (i.e., and April Fool's Day where I live), this week's challenge is to write a drabble which focuses on jokes, hoaxes, and pranks - and Severus Snape. Feel free to look at the Wikipedia page for ideas.

And...okay, here's the thing: I think we can all agree that at least one "Prank" has had a serious and negative impact on Snape. This is not to say that you can't direct another prank or joke in his direction (drabbles being fiction and Snape being, um...a fictional character *g*), but do remember that Severus Snape (unless he's under a spell?) is unlikely to be terribly amused by a prank - unless he's the one doing the pranking, of course. :)

bethbethbeth @ 10:27 am: Challenge #427: "Rain"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #427: "Rain" This week's challenge (because it's raining outside my window at the moment *g*) is to look at this link - Top 10 Rain Songs - and use one of the titles as inspiration for this week's drabble. What you write about is up to you as long as the resulting drabble focuses on Rain and Severus Snape.

bethbethbeth @ 10:47 am: Challenge #425: "Three True Things"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #425: "Three True Things" This week's challenge asks you to write a drabble that tells the readers three things about Severus Snape that they might not have known before. Note: the three things needn't be earth-shattering secrets, as long as they're three true things about Severus Snape.

bethbethbeth @ 08:51 am: Challenge #424: "Alphabet Challenge - The Letter 'I'"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #424: "Alphabet Challenge - The Letter 'I'" This week's challenge revisits a challenge last seen in 2009 and asks you to write a drabble in which each sentence begins with the same letter - this time, the letter 'I' (previous versions of the Alphabet Challenge have used the letters P, D, M, and S). Your drabble can be about whatever you want, as long as the focus is "Severus Snape" and each sentence begins with the letter 'I.'

(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #423: "Oscar Night Nominees!" In honor of the 84th Annual Academy Awards, this week's challenge asks you to write a drabble using, as a prompt, the title of one of the Best Picture nominated films:

Click here to see the list of films: )

Choose one - or all - of the prompts and write what you choose, as long as you write about the Oscar Night Nominees and Severus Snape.

bethbethbeth @ 07:42 am: Challenge #422: "An Old Friend"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #422: "An Old Friend" This week's challenge asks you to write a drabble about Snape's old friend. This could mean Severus becomes reacquainted with an old friend, reminisces about an old friend, spends time with an old friend, or even has a friend who is...old. What you choose to write is up to you, as long as you focus on Severus Snape and An Old Friend.

(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #421: "Happy Valentine's Day." This week's challenge is, as you'd expect, in honor of Valentine's Day. The "Happy" in the prompt, however, is optional (since this is Snape we're talking about). *pets Severus*

bethbethbeth @ 10:03 am: Challenge #420: "In and Out."
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #420: "In and Out." This week's challenge was prompted, I have to confess, by snarry100's "Push and Pull" prompt, although I fully admit that "in and out" just might lend itself to even more pervosity (which...is now a word). or, you know, you could just write about Snape visiting a Hamburger Chain in the U.S. or seeing an old Kevin Kline film or whatever you want to write about, as long as your drabble focuses on "In and Out" - and Snape.

bethbethbeth @ 09:52 am: Challenge #419: "That is the Question"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #419: "That is the Question". This week's challenge is to write a drabble that starts with a question of some kind (and no, it needn't be "To be or not to be" although given Snape's precarious existence, that wouldn't be a bad idea). The question can be used in the narrative or as part of a dialogue or in any other manner you choose as long as the drabble begins with a question and focuses on Severus Snape.

bethbethbeth @ 01:17 pm: Challenge #418: "Hot!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #418: "Hot!". This week's challenge is a companion piece to last week's, and asks you to write a drabble in which Scotland is having a particularly hot spell, or Severus is feeling feverish, or our favorite potions master is just looking especially "hot" - or whatever you want, as long as you focus on Severus Snape and something Hot!

bethbethbeth @ 11:12 am: Challenge #417: "Cold!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #417: "Cold!". This week's challenge comes to you direct from our very cold basement (*g*). Feel free to write a drabble about Snape feeling cold, suffering from a cold, being accused of behaving coldly, or anything else you choose as long as the focus is on Severus Snape and Cold.

bethbethbeth @ 06:34 am: Challenge #416: "Snape's Birthday Party"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #416: "Snape's Birthday Party". In honor of Severus Snape's birthday (tomorrow in most time zones!), this week's challenge is to write a drabble featuring a birthday party for our favorite potion's master. The time frame can be Snape as a child or as an adult (at Hogwarts or not, as you choose)...and if you can't even begin to fathom Snape putting up with an actual party, feel free to drabble about his very solitary birthday celebrations. :)

bethbethbeth @ 08:03 am: Challenge #415: "A New Start"
Apologies for the missing challenge last week.

(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #415: "A New Start". In honor of this being New Year's Day, this week's challenge is for you to write a drabble focusing on a new beginning for Severus Snape. Your drabble can actually be set on the first day of the year or you can interpret the challenge in a more metaphoric way, as long as you focus on Snape and 'A New Start."

bethbethbeth @ 08:54 am: Challenge #414: "The Village People"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #414: "The Village People". This week's challenge comes to you direct from my iPod's random playlist. Feel free to keep your drabble strictly canonical by focusing on, oh...let's say the wizards and witches who live in Hogsmeade village - or use one of the Village People's songs (Macho Man" for example). Or you know, just dress Severus up as a construction worker. It's all up to you as long as you focus on Snape and the Village People.

(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #413: "A New Potion". This week's challenge asks you to think about Severus Snape in the process of creating a new potion. Your drabble can focus on the first spark of the creation process, the experimental stage, the testing stage - or anything else as long as you write about Snape and a New Potion.

bethbethbeth @ 11:19 am: Challenge #412: "Career AU: Ghost Hunter!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #412: "Career AU: Ghost Hunter!". This week's drabble challenge comes from community member [info]dizilla and starts with the premise that instead of being a wizard with a particular expertise in potions and defense, Severus Snape is a Ghost Hunter (something that would work in the wizarding world or the Muggle world). His personality, his past, his friends and enemies however...all should be somewhat recognizable from HP canon.

bethbethbeth @ 08:01 am: Challenge #411: "Career AU: Guidance Counselor!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #411: "Career AU: Guidance Counselor!". This week's drabble challenge comes from community member bonfoi and starts with the premise that instead of being a wizard with an expertise in potions and defense, Severus Snape is a Personal Coach (in the Muggle world) or a Hogwarts Guidance Counselor (in the wizarding world). His personality, his past, his friends and enemies however...all should be somewhat recognizable from HP canon.

Note: bonfoi actually gave close to a dozen suggestions, so if you'd like to request one of them for next week or if you'd like to suggest an AU career of your own - something that would suit the wizarding world and the Muggle world - for a future challenge, leave a comment here or as a comment to this entry

bethbethbeth @ 08:35 am: Challenge #410: "Career AU: Chef!"
(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth)

Challenge #410: "Career AU: Chef!". This week's drabble challenge starts with the premise that instead of being a wizard with an expertise in potions and defense, Severus Snape is a chef (either in the wizarding world or in the Muggle world). His personality, his past, his friends and enemies however...all should be somewhat recognizable from HP canon. Apart from that, feel free to write what you want as long as the focus is Severus Snape as a Chef.
