“Latkes.” Severus moved slowly into the kitchen. “You do realize that they are nothing more than fried potatoes?”

Remus slumped against the sink. A potato peel dropped from the light fixture onto his head. “I decided to try a new recipe - “

Severus lifted a half-empty container of garlic powder. “Using this?”

“No, it fell down when the self-peeling potatoes got a bit frisky,” said Remus. He went scarlet as Severus turned to stare at him. “They were on sale, but how was I to know they'd go into a kick line when I opened the bag?”
