Note: this is a crossover with Cecilia Tan's wonderful Magic University series, set at Veritas, the magical version of Harvard. It's set after the fourth book, which ended with a magical cataclysm called the Burning Days.
"Faculty exchange with Veritas?" Severus raised an eyebrow. This year's DADA teacher had lasted barely a month, resigning after a nasty incident with a casket of Siberian doxies. "I understand our need for a teacher, but an American graduate student - "
Minerva handed him a typewritten letter. "Their alchemy professor was gravely injured in the recent disruptions. Dean Bell urgently requests your services for a few weeks until they can find a replacement."
Severus narrowed his eyes. "Those 'recent disruptions' nearly wiped out their magical community. Is it safe?"
"According to Quilian, yes." She met his eyes. "Will you?"
