Snape had scarcely recovered from the horror that was Stan Shunpike when a dignified, dark skinned woman slipped into the seat opposite him. She glanced over her shoulder, then double-taked when she recognized him.
"Severus?"
"Aurora?"
"Oh God. This is absurd!" Professor Sinistra drained most of a glass of water in one gulp. "I can't believe Pomona talked me into this. Just because I broke up with my boyfriend - "
"Silly woman. Being single is not a curse." Snape poured her fresh water. "How have you been? I've been meaning to write."
She smiled. "Very well, actually. And you?"
