"Eh, you." A pimply young man slumped into the opposite seat. He seemed incapable of shutting his mouth as he worked on a wad of fruit scented gum. "So much for being the Dark Lord's favorite."
Snape curled his lip. "I stayed out of Azkaban, Shunpike. You, on the other hand - "
"No need to get angry, is there? Only telling the truth." Shunpike shoved gum into his cheek and slurped a cup of lukewarm tea. "Me, I'm hoping for a bird. Dunno why they told me to try you."
"Neither do I," muttered Snape, wishing he'd stayed home.
