Challenge #357: "Snape's Halloween." This week's challenge is to write a drabble that focuses on Halloween, in any era you choose. This means you can look at Wee!Snape hearing about the then mostly-American custom of trick or treating, Young!Severus at a Hogwarts Halloween feast, Snape's reaction to that fateful Halloween night at Godric's Hollow in 1981…or anything you want, as long as your drabble concentrates on Snape and Halloween.

Challenge #357: "Snape’s Halloween"He didn’t really want this. Dressing up as some muggle monster, going from door to door asking for sweets; it was childish, and a bit stupid, if you asked him.
But Lily looked so happy, so wonderful. She smiled and told him not to be shy, just let me do the talk, we’ll have loads of sweets, she said. Severus nodded, inside his Death costume, and followed her everywhere. It was perfect, that first Halloween night.
Twelve years later, on another Halloween night, Severus Snape discovers himself alone. He hasn’t dressed up as anything, this time; he doesn’t need to. On this night, 31st October, 1981, he’s become Death himself, without any disguise.
