"They need blacklegs in the mines," sniffed Cousin Sarah, who was a trade unionist.
"Maybe he emigrated," grunted Gran's boyfriend, reaching for the remote control so he could watch Open University on telly. "Always said he wanted t'go to America. Why d'you care, Sev?"
Because I don't want him coming back and throwing me out didn't seem like a good enough answer, even if it was true. Severus had plans, big plans, and they didn't include dealing his da stumbling back in after an epic drunk.
