Author's note: Written for summer's Special Challenge. We were given five first sentences and five last sentences to choose from, and our assignment was to write a 3,000-word fic in between. For my first sentence, I went with It happened in August, not May, not December, August, the month that is usually reserved for heat, homework and romances. For my last line, I chose She smiled and quietly closed the door on her way out, knowing that she wouldn't be needed anymore tonight.
Summary: Ginny Weasley has decided that being Harry Potter's Girlfriend isn't all it's cracked up to be, but she has a plan.
