Because youtube thinks it's funny to suggest Call Me By Your Name clips at 2am when my brain is fried and vulnerable:
Can I get a line that cuts off at the end of the movie, make that phone call go differently, let the parents not interrupt, let them talk more. Alternatively, if you're into the book, that scene on the bed, let holding be more than holding, let Elio tell Oliver not to do it. Let those idiots not hesitate and actually talk about their feelings before it's past the point of no return. Let Elio show up at Oliver's wedding. Let Oliver say fuck it and show up in the middle of a snowstorm at the Perlman's. Someone can show up five years later (not ideal) and be like "Hi, I still love you, how's it going?" Can one of them just claim their man, please? I don't care how.
I want to rewrite this ending soooo bad. I'll write Oliver or Elio.
