Anyone remember the game Project Eden/Stork? (whatever name you remembered it by as it changed at some point).
I kind of have a strong hankering for a PSL along those lines.
Post apocalyptic where female gender has died off/become sterile and males develop the ability to reproduce (I've heard a few theories how and I'm happy to discuss).
Would be AWESOME if we could throw all kinds of tension/drama into it too as this won't be no rainbows and bunnies type of line. Maybe it's two people who didn't like each other (coworkers or feuding/rival neighbors as examples) get paired off or they hook up voluntarily realizing they were better off with each other than facing some complete stranger. They can refuse to sleep together and face consequences or slowly be the emotional support for the one who can reproduce who has to undergo all kinds of invasive involuntary testing. Maybe they get threats of separating them and putting them with someone else if they wont get to it so there's that fear now looming over heads.
They can definitely grow closer over time.
Or for a slightly softer side it could be two people who are already best friend's/military buddies but one is gay while the other is completely straight who had a girlfriend/wife before shit hit the fan so it would be a lot of self acceptance and drama in itself coming to terms of essentially fucking and having a baby with the person you considered your brother while coping with the loss of a loved one.
