Could I get a bite on a shameless spin of the fake-dating or fake-marriage trope? My character is tired of his mother's/sisters'/friends' combined efforts to find his Mr. Right (or Lady Right - a mother can hope and pray for grandchildren, right?). Instead of enduring blind date after blind date, my guy decides to hire an actor (or son of a colleague, the caretaker of the apartment building he lives in and who needs some extra cash, or really any guy who may be willing to accept this strange deal). And talking about the deal: the fake-date is NOT supposed to act like he is the perfect match! My guy is just hoping to get a break from the dating nonsense and maybe torment his mother a little (imagine a panicky mom who is all 'Good Lord, he is too young/too old/too fabulous/a caretaker, really? And is that a tattoo?').

But opposites attract, don't they? So while the guys try to fake-defend their mismatched relationship to the rest of the world, they slowly realize that it is actually kind of working, that they are good for each other (the whys and hows are open for discussion!). Agewise I'm open, but I do love older PBs, so I'd say anyone between 25 and 55? Threading and journals only, one tag per day.

ETA: Also looking for a line with 40+ characters! Someone like Mark Ruffalo, Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Martin Freeman, Ewan McGregor, etc.
