Character A and B were together for two years, five years ago. A had a rough past that he never divulged, but a traumatic event caused all sorts of suppressed emotions to come to the surface, and he turned to drugs and alcohol to calm it all down. B did everything he could to help, supporting A to the point of begging him to find a way to stop. B confided more and more in his best friend, who had been in love with him for a long time, and was doing anything to get B to leave A. Little did B know, his friend was supplying A with sworn secrecy on both their parts with B's best interest in mind. A got to the point of stealing in order for his next fix, and B finally called it quits to be with his friend (which didn't happen right away, but B felt it necessary to throw in so that A would accept him leaving). A spirals even further down, and on a trip to another city, ends up OD-ing, but survives. A friend of A's tried to reach out to B about it, but B refused to hear any of the information.
Five years later, A is doing very well. Clean and sober for years now, got his act together and also looks better than he ever did. Connections helped him out, but he's proven himself, and he's transferred to a new location to act as a higher-up. Neither A or B know he's going to be B's boss until he gets there and meets the staff. B has since found out about his best friend, now his ex, who had been only trying to sabotage things with A and B (granted, A was fucking himself up, too), and so has A. B has also caught wind of A's past, which explained a bit of it all. A should probably be the bigger guy, but he's not; he's still bitter.
I'm thinking I want to play A (Charlie Hunnam or Jensen Ackles PB), but I could be talked into playing B (not sure about the PB). I mostly want this line to be angsty, a slow burn at least with how much they end up trusting each other (no fluffy stuff within like 24 hours of their reunion type thing), and I want there to be resentment on both sides. So there's probably going to be a big fight that's been built up for a long-ass time. I also want a healthy mix of plot and smut, because hate sex scenes would be fun, haha. Threading only, this is screened, and I'd be willing to choose a different PB, I just want to keep this line with 35+ characters. This is screened. Sorry for the novel.
