I pitched this idea awhile ago but the person I was plotting with ditched before we even got started, so trying again.
Character A (yours!) is a criminal/forensic psychologist, one of the best and brightest in his department (details negotiable, of course). He's been assigned to the case of Character B, a case that has so far confounded the sea of psychologists that came before him and quite possibly the opportunity of A's career. B is a mass murderer and a diagnosed psychopath with one hundred and sixty-two murders tied to him, and even the guards and other prison inmates give him space. B fits the profile for a lot of personality disorders, but as no one has as yet been able to pin it down (DID is looking promising, but whether or not that's actually what he has is TBD); thus this has become A's job as his new 'therapist.'
This could go several ways, but either way, expect some very dark themes involving mental illness and/or supernatural elements (demons, evil entities, etc, if we wanted to go that route), though no wallflowers or 'damsel in need of rescuing' scenarios, because ew, no thanks. Smut is definitely on the table, though it probably won't be central (initially, at least). 'Doomed romance' would be a huge bonus, but only if the characters click (I don't do anything predetermined with "and then they fell in love"). Mainly I'm looking for cheeky banter and general fuckery between three two highly intelligent men in a game of cat and canary (or, more accurately, extremely clever cat and holy shit that's a tiger).
