Military setting, possible historical, possible fantasy
I am looking to play Character B
Character A is an army commander. He is in charge of a group of lieutenants that were at the top of their class. They were the best of the new bunch, young, smart, and ready to go. Character A has been in his position for years and despite being sent with his crew on various dangerous missions he's always brought his boys home alive. He inspires loyalty, respect, and a camaraderie that made sure of this. Till Character B's group. After going out on a mission and getting ambushed for the first time Character A had to retreat without all of his men, but from what he saw he thought he would ave only been bringing bodies back anyway. Character B would have done anything for his commander, even died for him, he signed up for this, he signed up for this war but Character A never forgot about the one he lost and blaming himself who was barely grown up.
Idea 1. Character B comes back as a ghost that only Character A can see.
Idea 2. Character A sees a scarred man in a rehab facility that is refusing to talk to or interact with anyone else. After a good long look he realizes it is Character B
Idea 3. Character B was captured by the enemy at some point and a year later Character A finds him either after liberating the group or being captured himself (strong possibility here if fantasy that Character B isn't completely human at this point.
