I listened to "Pierrot the Clown" for the first time in a long time, and was thinking that this might be an interesting line.
Character A and B were in a relationship that lasted 2+ years. Marriage had been talked about at one time. In the beginning, the honeymoon phase was definitely that. They got along great, worked very well together, though they were a bit different from one another. Then, B began to show more of his true colors, and A was starting to notice that B was becoming more and more controlling and jealous. B slowly became abusive, first emotionally, then physically. We can discuss whether or not there was also sexual abuse, but it could be another factor. The abuse continued for almost a year before A was put in the hospital after a particularly horrible fight, which ended with A unconscious and found by a neighbor after the screams died down. A suffered quite a lot of injuries, something else that can be discussed. B had left thereafter, but was picked up by the police and charges were pressed. B was put in jail, and got out on good behavior a year later. A decided to leave town and start a new life, unable to really move on otherwise.
It's been five years, and B has changed. Seriously. There have been many hours of therapy, anger management, soul searching and harsh lessons in jail that have contributed to this change. And, B has found that he still loves A. A has also been through many hours of therapy, and has had a few failed relationships, but refuses to believe that it's because there are still feelings for B. B finds A, and happens to find a mutual friend that lives in town with A. They are forced into certain situations where they have to be civil, and B feels the need to prove to A that he's changed, and that if nothing else, he wants to express how sorry he is. What B really wants is another chance, but it will take an extensive amount of work.
I would like to play A. I would also like for this to be a line that takes a while to build up. We can use AIM or email for brief conversations, and shorter scenes at first. Then, once they start to actually hang out, or spend time with one another, we can go for longer threads. Everything is negotiable and if you have any ideas, please let me know! I'm not strongly dedicated to much, just the fact that I want for there to have been an abusive past, and for me to play A. This can be PB or celeb AU. I've got faces listed in here, but I'll take suggestions/requests for others. I just don't want Justin Bieber or Gleeks in the mix. this can also be het, but I'd prefer slash. Comments are screened!
