This may be long, so if you're interested, it'd be great if you read the whole rambling bit of drivel I'm about to push at you, because though it may be rambling, it wouldn't be here if each bit weren't important to me.
Thing the first: I have a bad habit of using way too many commas to get one idea out into a sentence instead of separating a thought out into multiple sentences, ie; I use run on sentences more than anyone really should, and for that, I apologise. :P
Thing the second: I want to write. I want to collaborate. I don't want to get halfway through a very interesting exchange and be left sitting by the proverbial road without any underpants on, as it were. I also don't want to plan a huge line and get very excited, only to never see it happen. If you're not interested at any point, I WANT YOU TO TELL ME, if you have issues writing, or if I'm writing too much, too little, too stupid... I want you to TELL me. I'm a big girl. I'm not going to get offended or put a voodoo curse on you if things don't mesh. I'd rather be given an explanation on what's going on rather than be essentially stood up on a date for the 56,377,498th time.
Thing the third: That number was exaggerated.
Thing the fourth: I was a sheltered religious twit for most of my life, not by choice, and was not allowed to watch tv or movies. I am SEVERELY lacking in the "fandoms" department. There are some I do know and love and wouldn't mind playing, but if you have high hopes set on something that DIDN'T come out within the past 5 years, chances are it'll go over my head... sorry.
Thing the fifth: I don't fade to black, and I like my smut. I want to write, yes, and I like my shmooze to be centered around and to have a good backbone of plot with it, but damn it, I'm human, and writing smut is fun. I can, and I like to, play rather kinky and gritty scenes. Don't be afraid to ask me if I play something... chances are that I do and already have. The only things that are off limits are bodily fluids, though I'm alright with a little blood play.
Thing the sixth: Things that I like- Historical lines, age gaps, class gaps, post apocalyptic stuff, things that are based off of songs, things... you know what? Anything. I like.... everything. This was silly to write... moving on.
Thing the seventh: Ways I'd like to write in order of preference - Threading, email, gdocs, aim.
IDEAS (Aka, the shit you actually may be interested in)
- Modern day Prince Charming line. Meet at a club, etc... I think it could be interesting.
- ACTUAL Prince Charming line. Just what it seems, Prince and ________ (soldier, worker, commoner, etc)
- An odd idea I have based on Oliver! the musical (sans music, of course) where, and hear me out, here... Guy A is the sort of unspoken leader of a gang of teenage boy prostitutes in a post-apocalyptic world where gangs run rampant. Boy A is heading back after a night's work and stumbles on boy B (from a rival gang) being beaten and left for dead in neutral territory. Boy A brings B home to get their Doctor of sorts to patch him up, and boy B has to decide whether to accept their kindness and then leave, accept their kindness and stay with their gang, or try to leave immediately while injured and trying to dodge his own gang. I'd love to play A, and I have a lot of ideas for this one, but it's up for discussion.
- Vampire/werewolf line
- Greek soldier line or Greek gods line.
- Twenties era Bootlegger sort of... thing. Based (loosely)on the Panic! at the Disco video of "But it's better if you do". Character A is a young guy new in Chicago who got a job in a speakeasy as a stripper. Character B is a rich young professional (maybe connected to the mob) who finally gets pushed enough to go to this certain 'speakeasy' he'd been hearing about. Not sure how these things work, he gives the manager a large amount of money and is given the Special... Character A. I have starts written for both characters, but I prefer A... though I can play both easily.
I've typed too much, I know this. Crap. lol.
