Okay, here's some cliche with a twist of long-shot: I've just seen Game of Shadows and it, oddly enough, inspired me to rewatch Sleuth. I asked for this line awhile ago but didn't get any bites, so I thought maybe I'd expand on it a little and try again.
The premise would be something concerning two con artists, or at least one con artist and one unsuspecting victim, but the main point is the mutuality, the fact that that they can both give as much as they take and are somewhat evenly matched and by the end of it you can't tell who is messing with whose mind. You don't need to have seen the film but this clip might give you a good idea. I'd love to brainstorm something revolving around a con like this, with loads of mind games and misplaced sexual tension. We can work out the details!
I was hoping to play Jude Law against a (here's the cliche) Robert Downey Jr., but I can think of a few other PBs that would fit. Hell, I would brainstorm two different PBs entirely, I just think this would be a fun idea to play out. Comment if you're interested and I'll throw more details at you, depending on which way you'd like it to go.
