[25 Jan 2009|11:53am] Anyone not taken! westburoughmod It's a new PB community with only a small bunch of people, so many popular roles are still available. (: We'd love to see some new faces. West Burough is a mental institution for the menatlly ill and personality disordered. You get to pick a 'secret' as well for your character. You can either pick from the list or leave a comment in the DropBox asking to put your secret on hold for you [write what secret you want, obv.] and they'll do that and give you a number for when you apply. There's a Secrets/Gossip journal as well and an anonymous mod will be posting in there once every two weeks. When we get more members, it'll probably be more often. [25 Jan 2009|04:53pm] Mt. Fuji is an iconic symbol of Japan. It's known as one of the three 'holy mountains', and has for years been a major tourist attraction. It is located in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. The city itself is known all over the world as one of the major fashion capitals. The population tallies up to over 12 million. Of course it's also one of the most expensive places in the world to live. However, many people would attest to the fact that it is well worth it! The RPG takes place in this wonderful city. Characters may be any age, occupation, sexuality, or ethnicity. Feel free to be as creative as you like - as long as it's not anything impossible. post comment

[25 Jan 2009|09:16pm] players, taken, application, held, wanted, faq, locations, premise dobadthings | alteregoes | offduty In the not-too-distant future, superhumans have been accepted (for the most part) and integrated back into society. All thanks to the invention of an American, mass-produced neurological drug; which for the majority dumbs down mutations to nearly 10% of its capable capacity. Originally handed out for free to mutates on a "no questions asked" basis, the drug is extremely addictive; ten times more than nicotine or other non-conventional drugs. Studies have not yet shown the side effects of withdrawl, nor anything else for that matter. What's proven is, that the drug works. People seem to be pretty content with that. The drug, appropriately called "Kick" for the near euphoric mental state one receives after taking the substance, shocks the neurological system, and even masks DNA. Those experiencing more physical mutations, have found themselves nearly completely human in appearance once again. Things also seem to be relatively calm, in the small city of Kerncorde, Massachusetts. The city, located 40 miles from New Bedford, is nestled at the very tip of Buzzards Bay. Kerncorde is a cozy location, spanning right along the Bay, which pours itself out in the the Atlantic Ocean. Kerncorde abides to the new laws protecting mutants, as everywhere else. Sure, the locals tend to keep to their own, and stick to their corrupt mutant myth and lore beliefs. Most faiths tend to hand them off as Satan spawn, Unholy and damned. Most businesses avoid interaction, yet Kerncorde denies any confrontation of either parties. And heaven forbid, should a human ever sleep with one. w a n t e d; humans, as well as mutants. Humans can be OCs! A ton of characters open. A few we'd like to see (as far as mutants) are: Peter Parker, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, She-Hulk, Warbird, various Avengers, Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Raven Darkholme, Samuel Guthrie, Warren Worthington, Robert Drake, Lorna Dane, Kurt Wagner, Clarice Ferguson, Monet St. Croix, Paige Guthrie, Jay Guthrie, Piotr Rasputin, Illyana Rasputin, Sebastian Shaw, Erik Lensherr, Pietro & Wanda Maximoff. Just an idea, as to who we would see fit! Alter Ego is an ADULT MATURE-THEMED game. Violence, Sex, Gore, and other themes will be explored in Kerncorde. Extensive X-Men/Marvel knowledge is not needed if playing a human, or mutant. We are COMPLETELY out of canon. Extremely out of canon. One could pull off anything in this world. Alter EGO is a TRUE BLOOD meets MARVEL game. Game starts with ten playable characters. Happy bidding. post comment
