It's time to introduce the super secret network related plot we announced earlier this month. We're starting it a day earlier than planned.

So the hackers will be attempting to fix the network issues, but everything is going to go completely wonky.

Starting at midnight tonight, posts may not filter right or they may filter to the wrong person. The autocorrect issues will still be happening. People can make accidental voice posts. There are all kinds of possibilities with this. Go nuts!

And remember to use the !plot tag as each of these will be worth 15 points instead of the usual 10.

If anyone was removed in error, please let us know and we will add back asap.

Since we're seeing a lot of things that are kind of getting close to canon puncturing (and at least one fandom has canon puncturing built into that world as it is), we wanted to take a community poll on canon puncturing and see if everyone is interested in allowing canon puncturing or if you would like to keep the rules as they are.

There are three options here:

1. Canon puncturing is allowed, but only if permission is obtained each time canon puncturing might happen (similar to the rules regarding telepathy and other things that could be godmodding)

2. Canon puncturing is banned across the board, except in situations where it's part of a specific canon (ie, the Carver Edlund books in Supernatural).

3. Canon puncturing is banned and we provide an in-game explanation for it (most likely that living in Faux Vegas makes it impossible for people to recognize fictional characters upon meeting them or something along those lines)

So... sound off!

We are currently in the throes of the auto-correct fail and have another network-related plot planned for the second half of the month. Until then, here are some of the other events we've got in store for all of you:

Posters advertising both the ball and the speed dating will be plastered all over the hotel. There is also an additional poster advertising the fact that Star Costumes is offering a free costume to all guests of the Mandalay Bay for this event.

We are also going to be overhauling the contact list, because right now it's just too big. We're actually going to have you guys add your own info as a comment. There will be instructions in the post itself.

Activity Check Time! Only activity from January 01 - January 31 will count for this check. This check will close on January 8, at 9 PM EST. Anyone who has not replied by this time will be removed.

→ If your character was added after January 15th, then they are not required to meet activity, but still include them in your reply to the check.

→ Remember, you need 40 points each month to pass the check, and one scene. There are also things you can spend your points on, and you can suggest other things too.

→ Those who have activity trackers can just link to those for their point values, but we would appreciate if the total number of points was added up in a place easy to see.

→ If you do not have an activity tracker, just simply fill out this form for each of your characters. PUT YOUR NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE. Repeat for all characters.

→ In addition to the check, we are requiring everyone to do their taken comments, failure to do that and the check will result in removal.

→ Don't forget that random matchups are 30 for in progress, 50 for complete. You also get 50 if you started it and your partner never tagged in.

First off, we have a few things planned for February. There are a few Valentines' events that will be announced and there's going to be an action-packed plot towards the second of the half of the month.

For now, though, all of your characters have to deal with phones that have an autocorrect that is currently on the fritz. As with most of our plots, this is an option plot. It doesn't have to happen to your character and it doesn't have to be every single net post. However, if you want to have your character participate, just swap out a few words on some of your net posts. If you need inspiration, take a peek at Damn You Autocorrect

Be sure to tag any netposts where devices are 'malfunctioning' with the "!plot" tag and give yourself an additional 5 points for each of those.

So guys, we have a little bit of an issue. The taken got too big for even the webs.com page to hold and so 90% of it has disappeared. I'm going to redo it, but here on IJ instead. I need your guys' help to do that. I need everyone to please fill out the textbox below for all of their characters. And please be patient because it's going to take a bit of time to rebuild the whole thing.

While we're working on this, we will not be accepting apps. People can still app, but they will just have to wait until the taken is rebuilt to be accepted.

I'm really sorry about this, I had no idea it could happen.

As far as points go, we need you to go back to the activity checks and add up your points. If you haven't had any previous activity checks, you'll just get the standard 100. We know some of those points have been spent, but we're not counting any of that, so they'll be bonus points.
