I'm going to do the taken, and acceptance as well as the adds announcements tonight but feel free to already start posting.

After requests from some of our members and a lot of discussion, we've decided to change how we look at our character caps. Since there are often quite a lot of differences across various adaptations of works (ie, comic book characters, various gods, etc)

We will now allow 1 canon and 1 AU of each version of a character. (For example, Clark Kent from Smallville and Clark Kent from Man of Steel would each have the potential for 1 canon and 1 AU)

Now, if a comic book is a continuation of a story (ie the Smallville comic book, or the Buffy comic book), it will still be looked at as one version of the character (so you can't have Smallville comic Clark and Clark from the Smallville TV show). These more lax rules apply only in cases where there are multiple retellings of a story involving certain characters.

Since this does complicate things more, please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

We actually will not be redoing tags on the majority of characters. Stick with the tags as they are at this time. We're just going to add something that indicates which version a character is from if (and only if) they have multiple versions in the game.

Hey all,
We have a few announcements. After discussing the boundaries of the containment area Las Vegas, the captors caretakers have decided to expand the area. Tomorrow morning, everyone will wake up to see that it's now not only the city of Las Vegas and the strip, but that all suburbs are included, as well as a medium size portion of desert and the canyon.

We're also adding something to the points page that might just help some of you out. You can now purchase buildings from your character's homeworld, excluding actual houses. Players can pool their points to purchase a building if you'd like-just let us know how you want to divvy those up. The costs will be 500 for a small-medium sized and 750 for a large building. For those who don't have canonmates in your fandom or only have one or two, please talk to us and we are willing to haggle down the number of points to make this a little more fair to you as well. One caveat: the buildings, like most of the things that you would spend points on, are still pending mod approval. If we feel that it wouldn't work with the premise of the game, we'll be happy to tell you and explain why, but for the most part we're happy to accommodate you in growing the city. Most buildings will pop up in areas off the strip and will replace existing buildings in the Fake Vegas.

Hey all, we're closing the voting early because it's been pretty overwhelmingly in favor of sticking to the original timeline for the demon plot. So that means that the plot will run until 2/10 as originally scheduled.

Since we are a new game and we got big very quickly, we will most likely be checking in with all of you at times as we try to figure out the ideal length of time to run a plot and so on and so forth. If we hear from someone that they feel a plot is running too long, that's usually when we'll take the time to put it to a vote and go off that.

Hey everyone. We know that we said the demon plot would last into February, but it seems like there is currently a lot of chaos and a lot of plot to be had in the aftermath of that chaos. So we want to put this to a vote. We're proposing that we end the plot early (everything will go back to normal on Wednesday morning, provided that those who can don't exorcise the demons before then)

Okay so the character matchups are finally done! I did give Alex two because we had an uneven number of sign-ups. It is recommended that you do an OOC or something to talk to your matchup partner, your scene can be about anything, and if completed is worth 50 points. If started but not completed, it is worth 30. If one person puts up a scene but their partner doesn't tag, the person who put the scene up will still get the 50 points. Here are the matches! First, we want to answer a question about the introduction of darker forces into this version of Las Vegas. Anything that comes into the city will stick around unless it's vanquished or killed. However, there is a zoo that might just be able to hold some of the less dangerous creatures and a jail for the human criminals. As for anything else, if your characters want it out, they'll have to find a way. We just ask that you're mindful of this when bringing in things from other characters' worlds-don't bring in anything that can't be defeated/would cause a whole lot of destruction without talking to us first.

Second, we have a new plot to enjoy. With the introduction of creatures from various worlds, demons from the Supernatural universe will be coming into the city and they're going to be looking for host bodies. Just a note-these are not going to be the canon characters shown in the show. These will be demons governed by those rules but your character won't be possessed by Crowley or Azazel. More specifically, they will be black eyed demons. This is an optional plot. If you choose to participate, be sure to read this resource if you're not already familiar with the show, and then go ahead and post something with your character getting possessed and go to it.

This plot will run from now until the week of 2/10. You are welcome to resolve things for your character before then if they can find someone to exorcise them. Otherwise, we'll make sure to tie up the plot in a way that banishes all the demons at that point.
