I'm one of the mods for Up to No Good, a community for Harry/Any Marauder content. I have a couple of Harry/Sirius stories there (three if you count the Harry/Remus/Sirius), and would love to see more!
Up to No Good is for content that focuses on interaction between Harry Potter and one or more of the Marauders. This includes fic, art, vids, recs, icons, and searches within these pairings, or with threesomes or moresomes that include one of these pairings. Gen is also allowed, as long as the interaction between Harry and one (or more) of the Marauders is central to the work. |

Did I miss the memo or something? How come it seems like when people are giving Sirius an ex-girlfriend or interested in a "canon" girl it is Marlene McKinnon? This is not to complain about any fic in particular, I was just reminded of it recently. Honestly I could link at least ten fics where this is the case, one which is incredibly good.
Here's what we know about Marlene: She was in the Original Order of the Phoenix, she was killed with her entire family two weeks after the team photo and Lily cried all night when she heard she died. Yep that's it folks. No house, no age, no personality, not even an indication of her looks. NOTHING. So what in people's minds has linked her to Sirius or any other Marauder? If we're talking Kingsley I can see the logical sort of progression there. He wasn't in the first Order but knew James enough to know Harry looked like him. With Marlene I feel like people are using any random canon name to keep away from using a OFC. But in my mind you might as well use an OFC because there is almost the same amount of information.
So someone please explain this to me. |
