If Stiles was being honest with himself, he felt like he was going to die. Even though Derek had insisted that he wasn't going to, he certainly felt like it. The venom from the bite was like a raging fire going through him for the first couple of days, but eventually cooled down to where it just felt like amber from a flame - still hot, but not as bad.

For three days Stiles had been in and out of consciousness. The last thing that he really remembered was him telling Derek about the mountain ash that was in the dresser drawer, and to get Deaton to give it to Lydia. Even when he was conscious, he didn't really remember anything except for the soup that he presumed the older wolf was feeding him and the soup tasting like ass, but it made him feel better, if only for a little while.

When the evening of the third day - the day before his birthday, if he was right - came, he was hearing things that not even human ears could detect, and it was loud, almost too loud for him. Burying his head under a pillow to try and block out the noise, Stiles groaned - except it came out as almost a growl. Absently scratching an itch, his nails almost ripped open the soft skin. 'What the hell?' the teen thought, thinking that he had, indeed lost his mind.

"Derek?" Stiles asked, his voice still thick with sleep and tone soft as he tossed the pillow off his face.

	" 'M not tired. I've been sleeping for what, three days? I've been barely coherent, and the noise outside's bothering me," he said quietly. Cracking open his eyes, a blue haze overcame his vision, and no matter how much he rub them, it wouldn't go away. "I'm dying," the teen murmured quietly as he tried to go back to sleep. 	"...You're not dying."He grumbled, rolling his eyes as he paused, raising an eyebrow at the teenager before reaching out to trace his fingers over the younger boys cheek with a small frown. Stiles would've been almost back to sleep if it wasn't for the noise outside. The feel of Derek's fingers didn't feel as warm as they normally did, almost as if they were running at the same body temperature. As much as he didn't want to, he knew better than to argue with him as he opened his eyes, the blue haze still there as he looked over in the older wolf's direction, blinking several times to try to get rid of the haze. "What's wrong with me?" he asked, a bit of panic in his voice.

Studying the teen for a moment, furrowing his eyebrows as he reached up to press the back of his hand against Stiles forehead, relaxing slightly when he found no more signs of the teens fever boiling through him. "Nothing, you're fine."He mummered softly. Drawing back, he gestured for the younger boy to get up as he crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow slightly as concern faded from his gaze.

Relaxing when Derek told him that nothing was wrong, he couldn't help but rub his head against the other wolf's arm slightly as he smiled, baring his fangs that had dropped. Barely able to see the gesture, Stiles sat up slowly, expecting his body to not work, but found that everything was as if he was brand new. "It worked? I survived?" he asked, blue eyes catching the light that came through the window blinds from outside, almost making them shine.

A small smile flickered across his features at the sight as he watched the teen closely before nodding. "Yeah."He mummered softly, shoulders slumping as he relaxed slightly. Scrubbing his face with his hands, he reached out to curl his fingers inside the teens,leading him toward one of the mirrors. "Look for yourself."He informed Stiles softly, moving to let the teen look at his own reflection.

"God, not so loud Der," Stiles muttered, his hearing clearly super sensitive to the fact that even the softest words sounded like shouting to him as he rubbed one of them on his shoulder. Looking at his own reflection in the mirror, he barely recognized himself. Ears, fangs, eyes, and even his fingers looked different. Lightly touching the tip of his tongue to one of the fangs just to test and see how sharp they really were. "Okay...never doing that again."

Looking over at Derek, it was clearly obvious that while he was happy to become an official part of the pack, he was also finding his new look to be awkward at the moment. "So how to I turn off the eyes and fangs?"

"I wasn't being loud."He grumbled, rolling his eyes before watching the teen, a small almost amused smirk flickered across his features at the others actions. Rolling his eyes, he hesitated before wandering closer, shakily reaching out to rub the teens back lightly for a moment.

"You just have to calm down."He informed him, frowning slightly before drawing back slowly.

Nodding, his eyes closed at Derek's touch, he almost instantly felt himself relax. Taking deep breaths in and out to calm himself, he found what Scott called an anchor, what made him calm, what made himself not want to totally lose it. Standing there for what seemed like forever, he finally opened his eyes, looking like himself again in the mirror.

"Hey, I did it," Stiles mentioned quietly, a small smile appearing on his face. "And, um. I think I found an anchor."

Continuing to watch him with dark, worried, eyes for a moment Derek perked up slightly, pleased, when the teen managed to shift back without any other help.Fingers stilling against the younger boys back, he hesitated before reaching out to take the teens hand in his, toying with it with a for a moment. "Already?"He questioned softly, creasing his forehead as he looked up, confused.

	The smile on his face grew a little bit bigger as the older wolf took his hand, lightly brushing his thumb over the other's. Giving another nod, he watched as Derek's expression turned to confusion. "No,it's fine."He mummered softly, gaze flickering to their linked hands as he toyed with the teens fingers inside of his for a moment, forehead creasing in thought. "Most usually don't find one until later, that's all."If at all, but the older wolf wasn't about to say that to the younger boy. Glancing up with a small quirk of an eyebrow, Derek hesitated before reaching up to curl his fingers against the younger wolfs cheek, leaning in to kiss him softly and slowly. "What did you pick?"he mummered softly, curiosity in his tone as he turned his attention back to their linked fingers. Tracing his thumb back and forth over the soft skin slowly.

If there was one thing that Stiles had missed over the past few days, it was kissing Derek. Sure, it was probable that the alpha at least kissed the top of his head while he was out of it, but it wasn't like an actual kiss. So when he was kissed, he couldn't help but return it, just as softly and slowly as it was being given. "Not what, but who," he said, almost correcting Derek as he looked down at their hands for a moment. "I knew who it was going to be if I ever got the bite, and they just confirmed it, right when they told me to calm down. You."

At his words, Derek's face fell as he frowned slightly.Not that he minded, really, but the older wolf had never been anyone's anchor before and he wasn't sure what to do exactly. More so because he was used to emotions being an anchor for their kind, more so then pack members surprisingly. Even so he couldn't help but look up, a pleased look flickering through his gaze after a few moments as he studied the teen closely.

	A small smile appeared on his features as he watched Derek. Leaning over just slightly to kiss his cheek, Stiles couldn't help but inhale deeply. "You smell...different," he said quietly, letting the wolf's scent fill his nostrils. "Like chocolate chip cookies. Smells so good," he continued, not being able to get enough of smelling him. Chuckling softly at the younger teens actions, Derek carefully eased him away slightly, a small amused smirk flickering across his features despite himself. "I smell the exact same way I've always have."he pointed out with a small huff. Raising an eyebrow at the younger wolf, he rolled his eyes playfully. "Stop that."He grumbled, taking a small step away from him.

"No you don't," Stiles mentioned as his smile grew into a little bit of a bigger one at hearing the other's chuckle, taking another sniff. "Before you smelled all woodsy and wolf-y. Now you smell like chocolate chip cookies." He continued smelling him for a little bit longer until after Derek told him to stop. "Love you too Der," he said half-jokingly, knowing fully well that the older wolf would and could never say those words to him.

"That's because your senses are heightened."He mummered patiently. It was always like that for knew werewolf's,at least ones that weren't born that way. Rolling his eyes at the teen, he sighed as if annoyed at the others actions though he didn't push him away again. "Are you done?"He questioned, his tone light, almost teasing really.

Falling silent at the younger wolfs words, Derek hesitated a moment as he absently reached for the teens hands, toying with it a moment between his."I love you."His tone was soft, barley above a whisper as he glanced up, gulping nervously.

"Could've kinda figured that part out cause of my hearing," he responded. Nodding just slightly, he rubbed his head against Derek's shoulder for a moment before he pulled himself away. "Yep, done now," he answered, his tone matching Derek's own light one.

As the older wolf took his hands, Stiles looked down for a few moments, seeing just how perfect they fit together. They really were two sides of the same coin, making the other whole and complete. When he heard those three words, the younger wolf felt his heart swell. "I love you too."

	Without thinking, he leaned forward to capture the teens mouth with his own, kissing him softly and slowly for a long moment, a small shiver rolling through him at the teens words. 	Returning the kiss, Stiles seriously felt like the happiest wolf alive, if that was even possible. He knew that with a lot of patience, Derek would eventually allow himself to say those words. 	"To teach you to control your instincts."He informed the younger boy, raising an eyebrow as he glanced back at him before continuing to lead him out of the apartment. Letting their linked hands swing between them as they walked, the older wolf continued to steal glances at the teen, slightly proud he'd been strong enough to survive the bite. "So basically how to wolf," Stiles mentioned, catching up slightly to him so they could walk side by side. There had been doubts in his mind that he wasn't going to survive, but he had trusted Derek then, and he still trusted him. Walking in silence for a bit, there was just one question that he had: what the color of his wolf eyes meant. "Der?" he asked quietly as he glanced over at his alpha. "When I had blue eyes...What do they mean?"

"It's teaching you how to survive."He corrected, frowning slightly at him. The last thing he wanted was for the younger wolf to lose control and harm an innocent person, or worse. Falling silent, he tore his gaze away at the question, playing with the teens hand inside his own for a moment.

Hesitating, he kept his gaze on the ground, his tone soft."Normally it means you've killed someone, an innocent person."He mummered slowly.

Nodding just slightly, he knew that Derek had a point. Even though he was part of the pack, there was always the chance that they could be separated or worse. There was also the fact of losing control, no matter how strong his anchor was. Looking down at their hands, a tiny smile appeared across his features, but it didn't stay for long.

"But I..." Stiles started, the sentence trailing off for a few moments, remembering how he got the triskele scar in the first place. "I killed them. The guys that used me when I was possessed. I killed them," he said, his tone barely above a whisper.
