If Stiles was being honest with himself, he felt like he was going to die. Even though Derek had insisted that he wasn't going to, he certainly felt like it. The venom from the bite was like a raging fire going through him for the first couple of days, but eventually cooled down to where it just felt like amber from a flame - still hot, but not as bad.

For three days Stiles had been in and out of consciousness. The last thing that he really remembered was him telling Derek about the mountain ash that was in the dresser drawer, and to get Deaton to give it to Lydia. Even when he was conscious, he didn't really remember anything except for the soup that he presumed the older wolf was feeding him and the soup tasting like ass, but it made him feel better, if only for a little while.

When the evening of the third day - the day before his birthday, if he was right - came, he was hearing things that not even human ears could detect, and it was loud, almost too loud for him. Burying his head under a pillow to try and block out the noise, Stiles groaned - except it came out as almost a growl. Absently scratching an itch, his nails almost ripped open the soft skin. 'What the hell?' the teen thought, thinking that he had, indeed lost his mind.

"Derek?" Stiles asked, his voice still thick with sleep and tone soft as he tossed the pillow off his face.

	"To teach you to control your instincts."He informed the younger boy, raising an eyebrow as he glanced back at him before continuing to lead him out of the apartment. Letting their linked hands swing between them as they walked, the older wolf continued to steal glances at the teen, slightly proud he'd been strong enough to survive the bite. "So basically how to wolf," Stiles mentioned, catching up slightly to him so they could walk side by side. There had been doubts in his mind that he wasn't going to survive, but he had trusted Derek then, and he still trusted him. Walking in silence for a bit, there was just one question that he had: what the color of his wolf eyes meant. "Der?" he asked quietly as he glanced over at his alpha. "When I had blue eyes...What do they mean?"

"It's teaching you how to survive."He corrected, frowning slightly at him. The last thing he wanted was for the younger wolf to lose control and harm an innocent person, or worse. Falling silent, he tore his gaze away at the question, playing with the teens hand inside his own for a moment.

Hesitating, he kept his gaze on the ground, his tone soft."Normally it means you've killed someone, an innocent person."He mummered slowly.

Nodding just slightly, he knew that Derek had a point. Even though he was part of the pack, there was always the chance that they could be separated or worse. There was also the fact of losing control, no matter how strong his anchor was. Looking down at their hands, a tiny smile appeared across his features, but it didn't stay for long.

"But I..." Stiles started, the sentence trailing off for a few moments, remembering how he got the triskele scar in the first place. "I killed them. The guys that used me when I was possessed. I killed them," he said, his tone barely above a whisper.

	Frowning slightly at the teens words, he curled his fingers tighter against the younger teens, trying to comfort him. "It happens."he mummered softly. Most werewolf's killed someones eventually, it was a horrible thing the first time out but it did happen to even the best of them. Falling silent once more, he led them toward the gym carefully. Closing his eyes, he took several deep breaths in and out again to relax and find his center, giving Derek's hand a gentle squeeze. It happened, the murders that he had done had finally caught up to him, to his wolf. Though, in a way, the assholes that used him deserved it. They deserved to die. Opening his eyes, he was pleased to see that the blue haze wasn't there, clouding his vision as he let the older wolf lead him.

	Watching the younger boy carefully, frowning deeply at his actions. The last thing he wanted was the younger wolf to get upset over it.More so because it happened to every wolf, sooner or later. When they first got in there, Stiles heard something that he wasn't even sure that Derek could hear: someone working out on a punching bag. "Um, Derek? If we're going to do the you-know-what, we might want to get rid of whomever else is down here," he said in a tone that was even barely audible to them. "It sounds like someone's using a punching bag," he continued, letting his hearing guide him to the area of the gym.

Watching the teen, an impatient growl escaped him as his eyes flashed red, tensing as he waited for the other to attack. Shivering slightly, the older wolf curled his fingers around the boys waist, returning the kiss almost eagerly for a moment before returning to his senses. Shoving the younger boy to the ground, he scowled as he circled him. "What the hell were you doing?"He snapped harshly.

As soon as Derek shoved him, Stiles fell to the ground with a loud thunk, almost positive that he bruised several parts of his body from the force. Watching as the alpha circled him for a long moment, he tore his gaze away from him, looking down at the question. "Training?" he offered quietly as he got to his feet. "It was my first time, Derek, and it's not going to happen again. I'm going to be a better wolf than the others. Give me another chance."

	Instead of landing on his ass again like he was expecting, Stiles channeled his wolf, focusing on actually ending up on his feet instead. Stiles let his inner wolf take control now. A small part of him knew better than to accept the challenge, to submit because he was only a beta, but the other part, larger part that was running rampant, was itching for a good fight.

Words that sounded like 'Bring it on Derek,' were uttered, growling loud and more wild as he accepted the challenge, feeling his fingers shift into the claws that they were before.

	Baring his fangs at the younger teen, Derek growled viciously in return at the younger boy before lunging for him, claws descending as he did so. Reaching out, he moved to slash and claw at the other wolf, trying to crack soft skin with the tips of his claws. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
